Toney genuinely loved fighting more than any boxer since TV was invented. That was both his greatest strength and downfall. Because he never stopped fighting till people stopped offering him fights. James did very little of the traditional strength and conditioning . His fight prep was mostly just sparring high amount of rounds. Over time the head getting rattled inside of headgear will take quite a toll. Most cases of brain damage happen as a result of long tough sparring consistently.
