If anyone watched Sinner vs Khachahov at the US Open, these last 2 results vs Paire and Tsitsipas won't be a big surprise. It was very impressive how he was crushing winners all over the court despite being physically hampered in that match. I think he will be a serious threat to the top players next year. He just needs time to get stronger physically and grow into that large frame.

Maybe it's excitable hyperbole (but I don't think so), but i could see Sinner reaching no. 1 in the world rankings before too long (barring injuries or other calamities, God forbid). He's very young, powerful, consistent as hell, moves incredibly well, has a perfect temperament for tennis, is a winner, and is getting exponentially better, smarter, and more confident with each passing day and match. Flash forward to October 2021 and he has won five titles this year already and looks like he could beat anyone. This guy is special.

He has the power game but playing in the French will be a totally different kettle of fish. Sometimes the big power games can work against a player in the French Open, very energy sapping on that surface. I think he needs a new coach who can tweak his technique. His shots are shaky, the backhand is loopy, he's not able to take it early. The forehand technique is clumsy, especially on his inside out forehand, which is chronically weak, with no power behind it. He needs serious improvements to his technique (more power and stability), before it's too late.

I’m pulling for Rafa at Roland Garros but if Rafa or an American ATP player can’t win the French Open, I’d like to see Tsitsipas win it after that heartbreaking loss to Novak last year in the Finals. Jannik became the first player with a two-hand backhand that I support and enjoy watching . I prefer players like Federest, Stan the Man, Tsitsi, Shapo, Domi and Dimi (Musetti is coming too I guess), who do not only have a single handed backhand, but base their game on attacking and making winners. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence, but I have the impression that two-handed backhand guys usually wait for the opponent to choke. But this Jannik dude is different in that sense. He’s a two-hander but also keeps attacking. Go Jannik, I’m expecting you to become no1 some time soon. Just stay healthy physically and mentally ✌️👊

Sinner .. He has a great future in tennis. Great shots, calm, polite, clever ... perfect. I also like Tsitsipas a lot ... but it seems to me that Sinner wants to win more than him, also more than Berrettini ... he looks more determinate.

The only next gen player I respect is Medvedev . Tsitsipas too up & down , the Canadians Shapo & FAA not ready yet and Zverev is a choke artist of the 1st order

idk what it is but Tsitsipas just doesn't strike the ball hard enough. Great match by Sinner

He tried winners, it's the way he made 58 unforced. Not that easy to beat Sinner at groundstroke challenge. 5-2 second set, Sinner thought he might slow down the shots. This is the way Tsitsipas made it. Summary, all the times Sinner player with a certain amount of confidence, Tsitsipas had nothing to oppose in Rome.

Tsitsipas is starting to feel very similar to Dimitrov. He just feels sporadic. He's still young, but his game has a similar sporadic feel to it. Meanwhile, Sinner being only 6'2" has quite notable effortless firepower off both wings. Seems very stable. We'll see what he can accomplish within 2 years' time.
