Jason produced it and went for that live band sound instead of the vocal forward in the mix stuff that Dave Cobb did -- I for one am absolutely loving the sound of this record as it lets the band shine through.

Miles is a stone cold classic. Beatles, Petty, Young with hints of Zep and Floyd ... it's a KILLER. And yeah I've played it 10 times by now. I made a playlist with the songs reordered and 'This Ain't It' was my choice for the opener. I think Death Wish is a much better late album track than opener. Obvs Jason disagreed lol.

​@@bvaljalo Yeah I agree with you about Death Wish. I've taken issue with a few album composition choices that have been made in the past too. For example, I love Super 8 Motel but I don't think it belongs on Southeastern compositionally. At the same time I am so grateful for everything they make, and I am so glad they are doing what they do.

The turnaround on Miles sounds like he wrote it for Jane's Addiction. I seriously thought I'd be hearing Perry Farrell doing a guest shot. 😊 I mean this in a good way, so happy that Jason can still surprise me.
