Nope, i think they werent able to change much of the initial drawing jazza gave them. Cuz jazza literally asked them to continue on what he drew. So it was Jazza's problem that he didnt give them something that would particularly look good for a cover. The third one changed what jazza gave him, Jazza even pointed that himself in the vid that the 3rd didnt stick to what was given.

considering the amount of motivation it takes to even draw, let alone consistently improve and hone those skills. Every penny spent on art is worth it. At least, what else would one spend that cash on? (after base needs of course, never spend money needed for food and living on art lol) Also even for 100 dollar they clearly put in a lot of work. A lot of artists would charge more for two characters.

Damn as someone who 3d models and is learning digital painting I cant get over how bad the 285 one is.The robots a generic 3D model with some pathetic paint over (left arm lazor, the head bits ok) the volcano is utterly pathetic, the buildings are either a photo or 3D model, the cars either a 3d model, a quick paint over, or a photo distorted, the sky is a photo thats been so pathetically painted over (alot of lines are literally on top of the building, he didnt even rub them out, so that probably means the buildings are a photograph joined with the sky) The character looks vastly different to the style of the robot, almost like a rubbery plastic figure. Would not be surprised if its just a quick paint over too. On second glance, the hair is definitely painted over. looks like he added a moderate amount of paint on top of a pre-existing character and gaussian blurred it. The smoke on the volcano is a cut out, the lines on our right are so sharp. God what a total mess. the 25 dollar one has way more passion and merit.

The cheaper priced (but obviously higher quality) ones were definitely better. The 25 and 150 one put in a massive amount of effort hand painting everything. The 100 was okay but definitely cut corners like he said using photo elements. That top priced one was seriously just generic 3D models overpainted and a s**t ton of blur effects. Very lack luster and honesty I think that's what Jezza probably wanted to say but didn't want to be negative of another's art as he is a nice bloke like that.

Yeah I think so too. The quality was really good. I personally don't have enough money to just buy a 100+ drawing so I really like how well the 25 one turned out. It's the same for my Headphones for example. My price limit was about 150 euros. The Sound is good. Obviously 500 euro Headphones have this super detailed sound, but is that really worth the extra 350 euros? I think quality in relation to price is what I really like about the 25 Drawing. Oof. I liked the design of the 100 dollar one the best. The 25 one was super cute and I appreciate that the 150 one actually had a shape fit for a bookcover and was fully handpainted! The robot and the character in the 280 one look really nice, but the scene doesn't really feel dynamic to me🙈 (also the cat😔) Also I liked the first character design the best! I think you can't underprice art because money has no real value in the world where real art has relevance. If there is love for a work of art that work of art is paid in full. Money is worthless, so even taking millions and millions for good art is underpricing art. Art takes passion and a good sense of life. Money means nothing and has no real value but the ability to make art is essential to the real human being. Is there a greater act of art than revolution? A greater act of revolution than art? As you might be able to tell, i'm personally sick of moneys dragging humanity down.

@@MrNilsenone that's not really a valid point. How is money worthless? Its a piece of paper but we ALL use it. Theres a price on everything INCLUDING art. Sure, you can make your own art, but who's to say that pice of art you made is as worthless as money. Art does take passion and an okay sense of life to produce it, but so does money. I would say making money requires a lot more passion. "The ability to make art is essential to the rEaL human being" please delete your Google account AND the UKposts app

It's all about getting established, I think. Especially in the freelance artist world. Artists, both good and bad, start out with minimal prices and then go up from there depending on their demand/popularity It's not like a solid job where with the right connections/qualifications, you'll step in and immediately earn big bucks despite being a newbie on the workplace.

My favorites are the $25 and the $150 pieces. I think the $25 piece was best for your money but the $150 artist should get bonus points for being the only artist to do it in the portrait orientation which is the correct orientation for a book cover.

It actually isn't though, you'd need a front and back side and the cover should wrap around the book. So a horizontal orientation would make the most sense (I think).

Great video, really really enjoyable, nice premise, great credit and compliments you gave to the artists and I enjoyed your commentary a lot. I have two takeaways from this: 1. I'm not gonna be a commission artist because darn they do not get to charge much for such quality! 2. I am *definitely* going to commission some artists to make stuff for me! Outstanding work by all Edit; My favourite was the 100AUD one; it communicates an atmosphere and story very well and is just what I'd want from a concept art piece. If anything I'd be tempted to go back to that person and ask about investing more money to have it dialled up in terms of detail and level of hand-paint work. (What they did for 100 dollars I think is stunning by the way so I'm sure with more money and time they'd make something even more impressive)
