WHAT!!! a fitting thats considering the actual practicalities of fitting, against gravity, up a ladder with with only 2 hands not the required 3? Whats going on? What happened to the fittings designed by a spotty A level design student whos never been up a ladder in his life but thinks it looks good with those piddly small screws and one small access hole for all the wires. Has the world gone mad?

These videos are great, but a nice addition would be your thoughts on build quality and the robustness of the product is. A lot of products, even from a reputable brand, tend to be 'plasticy'. Palazzoli Commando plugs vs ABB for example. Both good, but one instils a lot more confidence than the other.

my only problem is push fit connections. always end up using connector blocks because there is only room for two wires in push fit, how often do you get live in, live out and switch when replacing fittings, and even worse when you get live in, live out, switch and loop on to another fitting.

+LeicaGermanShepherd In this case, each of the 5 terminals has 4 connections available (2 each side) so ou CAN cope with feed-in+feed-out+switch on the existing terminal block.

What are you on about . Look again and stop the vid on the junction connections. If you have a Line in and out to the next light, then use the spare connection for the Line. From this to the light switch, then then back to the light to the Line that lights it up. All there. Easy. Push-fit connections are far safer than terminal blocks.

That is superb. I wish I had one a few months ago. On some similar LED fitting they have a switch that gives three types of light: cream, bright white and in between. Does this have that?

love the flexibility of the fittings, fantastic range of options .. but a plastic gear tray for led? what about heat dissipation? 1 year warranty i guess?

Torchy, thank you for your message. The base and diffuser are polycarbonate. The LED Tray is PA6 Nylon and has been thermal tested. RadiaLED Rapid comes with an extended 5 year warranty.

JCC would REALLY be thinking about us, if they included three terminals for CPC and neutral! What’s the point of those ‘spare ones’ why not just add them onto the earth and neutral for the common three plate method??!!! So close to being perfect, but so very far for that reason. I’m sure these companies think they’re lights are only connected at end of line or switch fed. So frustrating.

Not difficult at all, it snaps on secuely but you won't break a finger trying to get it off again.

Jeeze - JCC utter tat imported from the far east, spec changes every couple of months as they find a new manufacture for a few pennies cheaper, terrible LED's, unbranded drivers. Terminals are even cheap knock-off Chinese versions. 100Lm per circuit watt, that is also shockingly low these days. Terrible lead times (waiting for a boat to dock!). Don't be fooled folks.

They have thought of some useful things around install but I'd agree with the actual finished quality of the product not being any good. Philips produce an LED for Dubai that has an efficiency of 200lm/W now (shame you can't buy them anywhere else though). It's a shame that with labour being the biggest cost of most jobs manufacturers focus on time to install alone and selling an overpriced product to an installer rather than a quality product that would be better for the customer.

Shame it’s using the shitty connector block. Those clamp between a spring and the plastic of the connector block, and when they were being tested in various places on UKposts like John Ward they melted at like 5 amps.
