In my day we didn't call this a stillbirth we called it a miscarriage. I had 5. A still birth was a full term pregnancy where the child was born deceased.

I think it’s a personal preference. Some women like to use their experience to try and use what they’ve gone through to try and remove some of the stigma/shame that women tend to feel with miscarriage/stillbirth. Also, when my dad died, my aunt(his sister-in-law) filmed his military service and interment for those that couldn’t be there and I then shared it to his Facebook page. It allowed people that couldn’t be there feel like they were in a way and commemorate his loss.

@SaraCiuzio That's very true, I'm all for spreading awareness and I have no issues with that but I meant more the entertainment media taking someone's tragedy, forcing them to relive it and, spreading it around like a sickness. I'm fully aware the Duggars have been in the media spotlight for years and even before the controversies but some people like the older sisters like Jessa did nothing wrong than to add more media on such a sensitive topic is blatantly disrespectful. Unless she wants more awareness on it then I'm all for her!

@@SaraCiuzio no of course not, I also lost a baby, it is so upsetting for all. I like Jill and Derek, fell horrible for how they have been treated, and the loss of their two baby girls. I only meant that their next pregnancy if they try again, will produce a girl.

@@SaraCiuzio no problems, I re read my comment and it did come across, as insensitive, so I apologise for that, and I have edited my comment. My miscarriage was many many yrs ago, but I still remember the month the baby would of been born, I never had any more children after the miscarriage, but I had my other three children to love and care for.

I think women in the public eye tend to to try and remove the stigma/shame that sometimes comes for women that experience miscarriages and stillbirths. Also, she’d previously announced that she was pregnant so if she stopped looking pregnant, she would’ve gotten comments asking so this nips that in the bud.

I was thinking the same thing!! Just let that stuff with Josh rest! I’m so sick of hearing about it! I’m kinda sick of hearing about the Duggars anyway. But I felt so bad for Jill and didn’t know she went through this with her baby girl😢

I was about to comment the same thing. Bad enough she lost her daughter, why must they keep bringing up her brother and her family issues. The focus should have stayed on her loss.

I agree, morbid. Nothing seems private anymore, not even the death of your baby.

Let people mourn the way they want. You might not agree but it’s not your child. Learn to scroll on if you don’t like something. It doesn’t have to make sense to you or me. I do lean toward what you said on agreement but once again it’s not my story and I have no right to tell others how to share their story.

This is not invasive and morbid she is mourning and wants memories of her daughter I lost my daughter at 18 days old I have pics and posted pics of my daughters funeral child loss should not be shamed in anyway shame on u for being so ignorant

If she was 20 weeks it would of been a stillborn birth.

I believe if she delivered(was induced) then it would be considered a stillbirth, not a miscarriage.

I think it’s helpful in reminding women especially that miscarriages/stillbirths are not shameful and to remove the stigma surrounding them and that their lives while short can still be celebrated

They lost their daughter, regardless of her age. How they choose to grieve the loss of her life is their own. Some people go simpler on services and some go all out; whatever brings them the most comfort 🤷‍♀️

Babies are fully formed then. She has to give birth to that. That would be heart breaking

She still had to deliver the baby.
