Man, I wish Randall could be a monthly guest. He is top 5 guests for me and I'm thankful that he's there as often as he is

Let's not overlook the bit where Randall spoke to something he didn't know much about, acknowledged that fact, and thanked Joe for pointing him to a paper to learn more. This is how we should handle gaps in our own knowledge instead of faking it or ignoring others studies. What a great example this gentleman is!

I am a 52 yr old life long student with a B.S. in Environmental Science with an emphasis in geology, hydrogeology and soil science. I have over 25 years of practical work experience, mostly studying retail gasoline properties that have discharged all kinds of petroleum products into the subsurface for one reason or another. I have worked in many diverse geomorphical areas throughout the northeastern U.S. I still have A LOT to learn! I have listened to Randall Carlson speak several times. Sometimes with open minded people like Joe and Graham, other times with sceptics who tend to be arrogant, dismissive and very defensive of their beliefs. Often, they do not present their theories and ideas with anywhere near the elegance, class, humility, and clarity of Mr. Carlson. I am baffled that his theories on the scabland floods are not accepted by more academics? I have never heard anyone present evidence that debunks his theories with any real conviction? Keep at it Randall, you are a special person and a rare breath of fresh air in the stench of stale academia.

Every time Randall says "that's another whole podcast" I'm thinking in my head, "I've got time" :) Love this show.

Never get tired of Carlson and Hancock

8 years!! I've recently discover Joe podcasts. I can't believe it wasn't recomended to me earlier. I can't get enough of them.

This guy is the rare combination of a person with immense brain power coupled with the ability to communicate to average human beings in a way that makes sense, while totally lacking in the pretentious attitude that sometimes consumes his peers.

Joe doesn’t lay traps for his guests. He doesn’t proceed with a list of “gotcha”questions meant to embarrass and discredit his guests. He doesn’t constantly interrupt his guests in the middle of their explanations, or right when they’re about to make a point. He’ll disagree, but never dismiss or attack. He listens to understand, not to respond. He lets his guests talk, instead of dominating the interview with his own opinions or positions. This is why he’s becoming one of the most followed interviewers. People like Cathy Newman need to get the memo.

I am absorbing this podcast for the 1st time in late 2023. All the way through I'm thinking, finally, someone is articulating what many of us have believed to be true all along, only to realize it is 8 years old! I can truthfully say, it is THE BEST podcast I've EVER experienced!! 👍🎯👊

It’s so beautiful watching and listening to such an engaging and interesting discussion between two guys from completely different backgrounds. Joe’s guests bring such fascinating topics that bring us all together ❤️

My favorite thing about listening to Carlson is how he doesn't waste one single syllable. He can talk for 3 hours and still he has so much left unsaid. And you can really feel the entire time he is so desperate to just get the information out there because it's really important.

This is the first person I've ever seen who made Geology not only cool, but fucking badass.

The most distressing thing for me about this level of discovery. Is that I struggle to talk about it with my peers. No one is interested.

I am just now seeing this video 8 years later and I am so sucked in to this theory. I will be deep diving into this topic to learn more. This is by far my favorite episode!

What’s most incredible is Carlson’s ability to explain all this in such plain speak.

Wish Joe had more guests like him on. Recently it's been nothin but comedians and that's nice and all but it's not even comparable in entertainment value to the intellectual guests.

If this was ten or twenty hours it would still be mind boggling and not dull at any point. Kudos Joe!!!

Wow, I just sat through 3 hours of this. I was mesmerized with Randall Carlson's knowledge and with Joe allowing him to talk. I wish I had a school teacher like you Mr. Carlson, I may have gone in a different direction with my life.

Joe should have Randall on at least every 90 days for any new information and updates.

This is the first guy I've ever heard saying we need to look at the big picture and facts along with mythology and religion etc. And not seem crazy.

8 years on. This is still one of the very best episodes of JRE. The way the information just flows seamlessly through through the whole 3 hours and never gets dull. Truly wonderful stuff.

See, if they played these episodes in history/science class I totally would have actually learned something lol. Joe needs Randall back on for another episode!

Can somebody get a message to Joe Rogan? Joe, please, for the love of all that is good, keep getting more guest like Randal Carlson, Graham Hancock, and Dr. Amit Goswami. The stuff with the MMA fighters is cool, and I love hearing from Dr. Rhoda Patric once in a while, I'm even an avid hunter so the meat eater gang is cool too, but the science and ancient history is just too fcuking cool for words! Thanks to Joe and his podcast I consider myself to be a much more educated man on a number of subjects. His podcast has inspired me do my own research, read some books and articles, and investigate things I never had any interest in. That's a powerful thing! He's really making a difference with this podcast. Keep up the good work Joe!

This guy is the real deal. Very cool. I like facts, hes got facts. If he speculates. he makes it clear he is speculating. A gentleman and a scholar.

I dont just mean this particular video either. The whole damn channel is so valuable. I hope you understand just how important what you're doing is.
