Is it just me or does Joe have a tendency with certain guests to repeatedly try and validate his pre-conceived notions about them? He started the interview saying he's so surprised that Culkin seems normal when many child actors aren't and when Culkin confirms this matter of factly, Joe can't seem to accept it. He tries to re-phrase it by commenting on the lack of child labour laws in acting, which Culkin also swiftly counters, and Joe then proceeds to make fun of the fact that Culkin's parents controlled his career to that he could buy them a house. Culkin clearly wasn't having it and didnt take the bait. Joe used the same approach against Jon Jones. I quite like listening to Joe, but this one trait of his is incredibly slimy and annoying.

I like Mac cuz he is just like a down to earth kind of individual... he was on a few episodes of James Rolf’s channel recently on cinemassacre UKposts , and he was such a good dude doing the retro video gaming thing . It’s interesting to hear a child star when I was a child coming around today and to be like wow we did and experienced a lot of the same stuff
@fruitypeebils5 років тому
he was on a few redlettermedia videos recently too.

@noresttwitch61565 років тому
What he’s trying to explain to joe rogan is growing up the way he did and having a acting job and being a celebrity at that age was normal to him just like growing up normal is normal to us . IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE .

This is a great interview I love both of you guys and Thank heavens that Macaulay is such a nice person and made it out of Hollywood alive and looking young and healthy and speaks from the heart about what it was like. Thanks!
@michaelsever81762 роки тому
My friend moved to NYC for about 3 years, and befriended Mac. He said he is extremely down to earth, and hanging out with him (although surreal) seemed quite normal. He definitely had some cool stories.

I'm so glad that he found his way through the BS, There was quite a few years in his twenties that I thought he'd go off the deep end and possibly die as a result of it but he worked through it and is clearly doing great now.. I love all his movies and hope he'll do another role someday but even if he doesn't I wish him all the best in whatever he does.
