True! I always exclude voting for the songs that are sung in English. So for me to vote for UK the song would have to be in Welsh, Scottish or Irish.

And a huge mural in Vantaa! He also did a tour in Europe and is planning a next one. Also, cha cha cha streamed over 100 million in spotify which is the record for a song in finnish. Nowdays he's one of the biggest staple names in finnish music scene and won biggest amount of awards (5) in finnish music awards. So yes, he's still doing great 😊

I love this song bcos not only is it sang in their native language, it still has a catchy section where everyone no matter what language you sing, can sing along. Music is universal and with 3 meaningless words he connected the entire world with this song.

@@peterdue7676 Loreen (not her fault so no harm to her), barely got a reception when she landed back in Sweden. Kaarija got a heroes welcome and then did a live performance over the weekend there which was watched Worldwide as it was on free National Finnish TV. His song took the number one spot on Spotify, beating Tattoo and is played in charts all around Europe. Tattoo isn't. Loreen won the Juror's vote with a safe 'technical' song. Kaarija's charisma, energy, performance and personality is infectious! There's a reason so many people come back here, why so many are making cover versions and why we're all watching videos about him SINCE Eurovision. The only other people I've done that for was Sunstroke Project (Moldova's Epic Sax guy;s band) and Alessandra (Norway's entry this year). Trust me, Kaarija is going places after this.

I dont know why everytime I hear him sing "Enkä pelkääkään tätä maailmaa (I am no longer scared of the world). " I get little choked up. Only "message" this song brings is Finns messed up relationship when it comes to alcohol and getting wasted at the bar/nightclub, and how culturally accepted that is in our country. I love everything about this. The energy, the sentiment of letting yourself lose control at the end of a shitty week, even the lime green bolero jacket. I really hope this wins. For me, by far the most exciting thing in Eurovision this year. Well done Finland.

@@lilsappling Personally I think that the jury vote needs to be scrapped. This lad got twice the public votes of Loreen so in my opinion he's the winner. The same thing happened with Sergey Lazarev for Russia in 2016. He blitzed the public vote but the jury gave it to that terrible whiney Jamala song. And Keino in 2019 won the public vote too. The public pay for the voting so they should decide!

A few mediocre entries, yes, but so so many good ones that were robbed (ie. placed much lower than they should have), and yes, a few crazy ones as well.

I keep forgetting this didn't win, and every time I think of Eurovision 2024, I get hyped coz I'm gonna hear it again! And then I read a comment when I come to hear it again, and I remember he didn't win. I'm quite sad now (once again)

The atmosphere at Eurovision especially for this song was phenomenal! Everyone in that arena were chanting “cha cha cha”. Käärijä was most definitely the people’s winner 💚
