hmmm....i don't think this song is about body shaming. It's actually the opposite. I conveys the anger and pressure of someone who is constantly trying to stay perfect for everyone else. Read the lyrics in the description. I can definitely feel the pain and distress in the song. Love it. Kaleo is amazing. I can't wait for the new album!!

I agree. Poetry can be read and understood in different ways. While this song talks about body shaming and self harm I think you can hear the expectations and pressure on KALEO in this song and in Break My Baby. "They’ll take you in and spit you out you’re only worth how much you sell" "Just give the people what they need" "Does it start to show now the pressures on? Will they call my name when it all goes up in flames?" And then, like you said, this song also talks about pressure and "burning out"

I hope the fuck not. Tik Tok often overplays good songs and make them appear in the most irrelevant videos. I want Kaleo to reach more people, but not at the cost of their songs appearing in stupid dance videos, which often leads listeners to hate the songs along with the videos that go with it. Sure they'll get a lot more fans, but it'll come with so many haters too.

Wow, this song... It cuts so deep inside of us. It shows how wretched our society where everyone wants to validate themselves in a group of strangers and actually ignores those who are really important in their life. It's all about "look at me, look at my perfect life, I have a perfect body, perfect spouse, perfect places I have visited". We live in a sick society with sick individuals. That's why I deleted Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and live my life privately where I could truly become a better person. I only use UKposts right now and that's the only thing left for me.

As someone who once resided in the social media realm of car culture, this song hits deep. In that world, you may not need to look pretty, but your car does or else your not really part of the community. In short, if you don't do what they do, they chew you up and spit you out. And all that's left is an empty, hollow shell of a man. Furthermore, some folks on there are just assholes, and, take it from me, they can push people to do some stupid prideful stuff. Personally, I walked away from it for now. And let me tell you, I'm doing a lot better. Words of wisdom folks, don't be consumed by what people on social media say about you. Focus on those who actually care about you.

Randomly discoverer Kaleo for the first time in my life last night. This morning its jamming in my car on my way to work and at work. Now just as end of day is hitting me, Kaleo drops a new album with more new songs!. WFT/ Wow. Im dead inlove.

Kaleo is hands down my favorite band, ever since I found them a few years ago. One of my favorite authors, Richard Kadrey, recommended them. I've been a fan ever since.

I can't stress enough how important these lyrics are to other musicians. Not to get sucked in to the 'perfect' image that the system wants. Unfortunately there's too much glorified rock which unfortunately had lost the meaning, love, feel, and passion. But KALEO are one of the only bands which have added it to their music. They don't copy other bands, just completely unique unlike any other. Actually song writing rather than following the rest plus they're songs with true, real feeling, as apposed to copycat, pretty face, perfection, and blend in view to the crowd artists. (When I say pretty faced, I don't mean in the sense if appearance I mean in the sense if being 'perfect" like the expected. They're purely and completely talented musicians. And they are in my opinion a perfect band which make incredible music.

I feel like the song is from the POV of someone who is being pressured to look and act a certain way and lyrics like “you’ve got to stay skinny” are actually just the thoughts that run through their minds every day
