@@rodrigopineiro777 yes, I always felt they should make the AO a carpet surface so you have four surfaces across all four slams. That way, a hard court specialist wouldn't be playing 50% of slams on their favoured surfaces as Djokovic has had a career being able to.

I've been a fan of pro tennis for 50 years, but I don't think I've ever seen a player with situational court awareness superior to Nadal's. He know where his opponent is at all times. It's uncanny how often he wrong-foots the other player or puts the other player into a corner.

Yeah, an interesting note from Rafa was when they did the exhibition match with Federer in Africa, they build the court on a big stadium. Rafa said it was tough because his spacial awareness was off, the visual cues were different, distances around the court were different. It was interesting to hear that he is very aware of his surrounding and also opponents.

@@paulcorda Perfectly said as a Djo fan I definitely agree. Sucks that neither were at each of the slams until the end. However Djo didn't play at all where as Nadal did but withdrew thanks to a wrist injury. And Djo beat world number 2 in Murray for the final who is already better then anyone Nadal has to beat in this years AO already going by merits. Only meddy has one GS to Murrays (zverev has none ) 3 that Djo had to go and beat and I'm not even going to mention the amount of finals Murray was in because it dwarfs meds history of finals. So lets see who Nadal has in the final should he make it that far because if it's not Med then Djo had to go through a tougher opponent in the final then Nadal and Med is numero dos as of now in standings. But either way the best of the best were not there at the end of each slam event that I totally agree on and if Nadal wins then of course it should be counted. @@mainemceachern1521 If you think about that...I mean, for me is anbilibibol, you know. This guy play tennis against Müller-Weiss since 2005, and these motherf#cker is intense. You feel like your feet is breaking, in fact, that's what happens many times. Imagine to put your feet in a shoe with broken glass, nails and stones inside. Now you try to play tennis vs Djokovic, in a GS semifinal. And be able to win one set, and having ball to the fifth. Imho, if the people knew the real condition of his feet along his entire career...nobody would talk about goats and weird things.

@@dabadabado7954 yeah, that thing usually breaks. First time, 2004. But he has never been so clear about his feet problem until this week. It was uncle's Toni mental regime, never complains, never wasting time thinking about unsolvable problems. It certainly worked. But imho, Rafa is a little bit disgusted with all the drama around Nole and his vax issues. And the man probably wants to say..."you know what? I've playing with my fuckin' broken left foot since I was 17 years old, and I don't hear anyone wondering what would happen if Nadal wasn't a lame." Or something like that.
