As someone who constantly carries a loaded pistol while making late night deliveries in rough parts of town, this song gets my nod of approval. It may be intended as a dig at people like me who carry a gun because we refuse to be victimized, but at the end of the day, that's a helluva lot more noble than embracing and glorifying victimhood like a certain side of the aisle tends to do constantly.

The thing I really like about the 'no, this is supposed to be bad' thing, is that at no point in the song does it paint the side singing as the aggressor. The closest it comes to that is the 'shoot first and can last' line, but even there, it's in direct response to an earlier line about them 'coming loud and fast'. Far Cry 5's main plot as a whole is hilarious to me, as it's basically 'Waco if the Branch Davidians had actually been what the ATF claimed them to be'. It even echoes the real-world situation that was the local authorities telling the ATF that what they planned to do was a really bad idea, and the federal agency ignoring the advice of the experts to go in guns blazing anyway. They are a doomsday cult. They will sit in their compound twiddling their thumbs until you do something to make them think the unnamed 'enemy' is attacking them, at which point they circle the wagons and violently resist intrusion. Even Far Cry 5 acknowledged this, with the 'secret' ending of telling the fed boy to go pound and sand and refusing to be so stupid as to arrest the cult leader in his own compound, in his own church, surrounded by armed individuals.
