Renowned R&B flautist Jef Kearns takes us on a mesmerizing journey with a fresh take on the classic hit “Killing Me Softly with His Song.” Joining forces with Toronto-based vocalist Joanna Majoko and producer Douglas Romanow he delivers a hauntingly beautiful interpretation inspired by the warmth of memories and the solitude of late-night reflection.
Jef's flute intertwines seamlessly with Mojako's soulful vocals. His signature flute sound captivates and although the lyrics center around a singer-songwriter playing guitar the listener feels she is singing about him. Romanow's production creates a depth and richness that resonates long after the final note fades. The meticulous mastering of Randy Merrill (Adele, Taylor Swift, Chris Brown) adds another layer of sonic brilliance.
