I hav flown by KLM at lest 20 times on lnternational flights n always enjoyed my flights.The crew n especially the Pilots were extremely thorough in their announcements.Deep respects to all the pilots world over🙏♥️👩‍✈️

Nice video! When I was about 10 years old, I told my dad “I want to be a pilot when I grow up!” Well. now I’m 66 and guess what? I’ve never piloted an airplane. But I’ve been in 100’s (probably well over a thousand) flights as a passenger and pilots get my highest respect. KLM is a wonderful airline and I enjoyed my flights from ATL, DTW and MSP to AMS.

@@akingdom4mypeople343 I was very impressed that one time when I arrived in Amsterdam at the baggage claim, a KLM employee found me and explained that my bag had been delayed! Saved me the wait until all bags were out and of course they delivered the bag to my hotel a few hours later after it arrived on a different flight.

My father flew for United Airlines for 38 years before retiring. Captain Louis Iandoli from NJ. I'd like to hear from any other pilots who flew with him. My father was also a flight instructor out of Denver Co. Unfortunately he had passed away about 10 years ago. I love you, dad♥️

WELL DONE, KLM. I've seen many many videos on commercial air travel from the cockpit POV. This was excellent. Sadly, we will never fly the 747 to St. Maarten again. But thankfully it's documented for eternity.

I just loved this video a lot. Captain Tim ten Velde is so fluent in English, WOW. And he landed the Dutch Queen (KLM Boeing 747-400) with sheer elegance! The RNAV approach to Runway 10 of TNCM is really useful. Thanks KLM for sharing this!

What a well done video. My father flew the majority of his commercial time with American Airlines as a senior captain. He was one of the early 747 captains but mainly flew DC-10s. This video gives me a glimpse into his world up there.

I can visualize it: you fly five thousand miles to the island, and then you spend your vacation on a beach watching airplanes land and take off.

These people more than likely don't spend their entire vacation or even a full day viewing these planes land and take off. Also where else in the world can you be on a beach and have planes fly overhead.? You go on vacations to places that aren't anything like where you live, that's the whole point to experience something NEW.

PVR has a very nice approach area. You can get the planes land close . But not in the beach (the beach side is for takeoffs)

I spent a week there, 3 hours every day I went on Maho Beach, the rest of the time I was either spending my time at the Hotel or exploring the Island and see what sights we could get! And we also got to St-Barths for a day :D

KLM is a high-quality airline, also the oldest commercial airline in the world, with highly trained professionals. KLM's pilot training is a tough and serious training, but this means you have skilled personnel. In addition, KLM considers the well-being of the traveler very important, which you can rely on well-trained stewards and flight attendants. And KLM has a huge maintenance team, which in turn results in well-maintained aircraft. At KLM, things rarely go wrong. Unfortunately, they have built up a lot of debt due to COVID-19, which almost caused AirFrance - KLM to go bankrupt. Today, these debts are paid off to the Dutch government.

As a St. Maarten Airport specialist, all I can say is, that this is a superbly made video with great shots and lots of interesting information. What's still missing are some interesting jet blast shots at the fence on Maho Beach during takeoff, where you can see what's going on behind this huge plane.

years ago, i made a daytrip to this island, got an beer an looked from the bar to this small beach. maybe 40feet sand, small road an the fence. Everything gets blasted away when a larger plane stated oder landed: umbrellas, seats, persons,... funny to watch

This is so cool, the 747 flying over the beach in St. Maarten/ We were on a cruise and got to see 3 jets (1 747) blast the beach goers ! It's very cool !!

the plane they are flying in (PH-BFB) is preserved at a hotel close to Schipol airport, it was retired in 2019 and was the oldest flying 747-400 at the time, KLM's 747's will be missed
