I remember when my mother died, I cried at the grocery store at Easter time because I saw black licorice jelly beans. My mom loved those jelly beans. That's the weird thing about grief. Little things sneak up upon you when you least expect them. It's unimaginable sharing your life with someone like Kobe, who became a legend, losing him and the child their love created and sharing those unexpected memories with the world. That is why Vanessa was a good fit with Kobe. Her strength lives on for their remaining daughters.

This still doesn’t feel real, absolutely heartbreaking. God please bring peace and comfort to the families for the lives lost that they may know they are safe with you.
