She wrote a speech, papers to read from.....yet she spoke from her heart, hardly looking down at her notes. Eloquent, intelligent, well articulated, sensitive yet powerful. She is a force of nature. Thank you, Lady Gaga.

I was also raped.... last February and right now it is January 2020, and I’ve been suffering depression,anxiety,trauma and it sucks. I told my mom that night and we went to the hospital and I reported it to the police and such, ever since then I had to take medication and get needles to heal and I stopped in June. All the guys who done it that night to me, they’ve been going to court and I have my court date next month, two days After the incident and also in March. I am a survivor, and that night I was told from a person I thought who was my friend, that took me to that place, after 3 hours straight the person took me home and was threatening me saying that if they hear about it, they would go around the school and say I slept with a lot of guys. Also told me to take 3 showers that night, and so I was gonna be quiet but I realized and told myself that no it isn’t right I need to use my power and confess what happened and so I did. I also would’ve been pregnant but I got on some kind of pill that helped me not be pregnant. Which was good and I am good for now but all I know is I won’t be always good, I will get through this. I hope this doesn’t get reported or deleted because I’m saying the truth about what happened to me

Honestly, I was never a big Lady Gaga fan. I liked some of her music, but didn't really know much about her. When A Star is Born came out, I went to see it and I was blown away. And I went to see it again the next day. Seriously. Then I watched her Five Foot Two documentary on Netflix. Then I watched some interviews. And I'm truly mesmerized by her. She's such an amazing, inspiring, strong (and obviously talented) human being. Now I know who to look up to when I'm feeling lost.

No celebrity gives better speeches than her. WHAT A WOMAN

The more I learn about Gaga, the more I love and admire her. Her story gave me the strength to admit my own assault. Over 30 years ago, and I never told a single person. It never crossed my mind because of who his family was, and keeping it inside all these years has taken its toll. So brilliant and talented, and so kind, humble and compassionate. I truly appreciate her for saying this. Mental Health needs to be discussed and not shamed!! Dealing with Depression is not fun and so many(including myself) are hurting and yet are made to feel shame about it. It's a physiological issue! If someone had Cancer you wouldn't shame them for it. Be kind to everyone around you, you never know what someone is dealing with!! Just when you think someone has it all, you find out otherwise.

This is 2 yrs old but it still breaks my heart to hear the disconnect from some of the people in the crowd. They were laughing at inappropriate times- they must not have been listening carefully. She is so amazing! She has been vulnerable and has put herself out there for some who cannot. She is the one of the most caring, thoughtful, and loving woman in Hollywood (IMO- of course). I am a 60 year old man who grew up with classic rock music and heavy metal. Just in the last 6 months, I have really become a fan of Lady Gaga s music and I started with her early pop music, not the newer "grown up" stuff. Now I see her as a great actress also.

It’s great she touched both mental healthy and sexual abuse because both can go hand in hand, and both people pretend don’t exist. They’re really big issues we need more awareness to! People are too scared to come forward saying someone hurt them, that they are hurting. We need more voices coming forward, and we need to defeat all those negative people saying we’re lying or it isn’t real.

I’ve watched this so many times, and I still can’t get enough of it. One of the best speeches given of all time, and she mentions so many vital topics here. YAS, GAGA!!!

Lady Gaga took the words out of my heart and mouth. Thank you! Another thing I will say about kindness...to all the parents out there, be kind to your kid. When you hurt your kids, whether it is emotionally through your words or physically through your "discipline," you are teaching them that YOU cannot be trusted. So when something like sexual assault happens to the child, often times they don't feel like they can be open with you. So if you want to protect your kids, foster a loving and open environment in your home so they know they can talk to you about anything.

i cried thru her entire speech, she has poured out all her passionate words to help empower those who were abused, sexually, and mentally. I don’t know how much I could thank her enough because I was a victim of mental illness. It’s personal, that once happened when I was in middle school, I had faced depression and schizophrenia. I have high hopes that communities will hit forward to make our youth stronger against all odds. ❤️ ⭐️ 💫

The suit looked like it was swallowing her, but by the end it looked small and insignificant. Keep up the words about pain and depression. You speak and it echoes, allowing us who deal with this the chance to get through to people who wouldn't listen. A celebrity can't change the world alone, but they can give the people the power to. In one night I watched all her songs available on YT. I’m not sleeping-I’m watching all her other videos as well. At 8, a boy, I was sexually assaulted and when I told one of my friends he said “ people tell themselves stories!” I didn’t say anything but went to hid my pain and regretted why I even told that to the guy who didn’t believe: Now, 21, and it doesn’t go a way! I sometimes breakdown but one day I will be a star too from the other side of the world. Thank you lady Gaga u’re inspiring from thousands of miles a way.

I was crying during all the speech

This make me crying so hard. I have watched this speech and your Stephen Colbert interview over and over again this past week. I cannot say enough how much hearing this is everything for me. For the longest time I have never realized that I had a sexual assault when I was very very young. I don’t even remember that for the longest time. When I’ve never considered myself to be one of the victim. I brained just shutdown that part of the memory off for the longest time. And suddenly last week one name has been mentioned and I totally forgot about the person that even exists in the world maybe cos my memory block that part out. And all the memories were pouring back to me and now I actually don’t know what to do. I couldn’t sleep or eat or focus for a week now couldn’t function really. All these part weeks I have been watching you (Gaga) watching all your performances/ all your interviews/ all your inspirations for everybody in this world) make me feel better. I actually would like to go to see a psychologist unfortunately I don’t think there is any in my city. If I want to go to the psychologist I have to go to Bangkok (I am in a small town in Thailand)........ I don’t know what to said I told a good friend of mine who is a man and I don’t think he understands me at all and he kept asking all these questions and make me very uncomfortable then my body started to shut down and I don’t wanna speak to anyone about anything after that..... your are my inspiration, you are hero !
