Whenever I'm sad, I remember that I was blessed to be born in the same era as Lana Del Rey.

I can see 30 years from now when people of the next generations discover her and be jealous of us who were alive when Lana was in her prime and making heavenly music.

Almost 10 years later and this still gives me goosebumps. Absolutely phenomenal art. Depicting Adam and Eve, eating the forbidden fruit, reincarnating into sinners as a stripper and Adam as a criminal thief, repenting, and their after life in peace. Stunning. Hands down her best work.

The way euphoria is a whole ass clone of this film, strobe lights, violet and purple ambience, clubs, guns, gangsters and it js shot on film! Lana is really ahead of her time.

When this was first released, I was 12 years old. I remember staying up late on the couch downstairs to watch it. My parents were in the middle of an awful divorce- my mom left us, I used to listen to Lana and looked to her as a sort of mother figure in the absence of my own mother. To this day, when I find myself overwhelmed or upset, I turn to Lana’s music (the music videos especially) to help me feel better. I don’t know why I felt the need to comment this, but here I am.

Lana Del Rey, to me, is one of the last gems in the current music industry. No one treats their music like art anymore. Her lyrics touch your soul. They tap into your deepest and darkest fantasies. I'm probably one of the only men who has a deep passion for her music. It's just so... mesmerizing. Every song- whether it's "Kinda Out of Luck" or "Damn You" or something from Born To Die- is so fucking amazing. She can make murder sound glamorous. She, literally, has changed my view on life. What a sexy, inspirational woman she is. Can not wait 'til "Ultraviolence" ! I know that it'll be another masterpiece.

Plot: Chapter 1 - Body Electric. The movie starts out with the original Adam (portrayed by Shaun Ross) and Eve (portrayed by Lana Del Rey) in the Garden of Eden. God (portrayed by a John Wayne character), Jesus, Marilyn Monroe, and Elvis Presley are all present with Adam and Eve- as "Body Electric" begins to play. The whole movie is intercut with scenes of Del Rey playing Jesus' mother Mary. At the end of the song, Eve - tempted by the snake - decides to eat an apple from Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. After she eats it, thunder strikes and she faints. Adam then decides to eat from the apple as well in order to join his lover. As a result of this, they are cast out of their "Paradise", the Garden of Eden. Chapter 2 - Gods & Monsters. Del Rey then starts to recite Walt Whitman's "I Sing the Body Electric" as time flash forwards to a modern-day Adam and Eve living in Los Angeles; Del Rey works as a stripper while Ross is a gang member who also works as a clerk at a convenience store during the day. There is a reference to their "Paradise" in the convenience store, as there is a sign that says "El Paraiso" or "The Paradise". In this segment - "Gods & Monsters" begins to play. After the song ends, Del Rey recites Allen Ginsberg's "Howl" as a group of wealthy middle aged men are seen surprising their friend on his birthday by bringing him strippers. A couple of minutes after the strippers enter the room, Ross and his gang suddenly show up with guns in hand and steal all their money. Chapter 3 - Bel Air. God appears and begins to narrate John Mitchum's poem "Why I Love America" ("You ask me why I love her? Well, give me time. I'll explain. Have you seen a Kansas sunset, or an Arizona rain?"). The Adam and Eve characters then get in their car and end up driving to a country-side wheat field. Clips show the pair being baptised as they begin to undress. "Bel Air" then plays in the sunset. The two characters then ascend back into heaven, having finally redeemed themselves, as flying saucers appear in the sky.

I end up in tears after watching this because i love her so much and her music has saved my life. Tell me im not the only one.

I was lucky enough to experience Tropico in theater for its one and only limited time release in Hollywood. Lana spoke a few words before the film started. What an amazing experience that was to be a part of. You could hear every person crying at the end full of emotion by its unbelievable beauty and perfection. How special for us all. I still get emotional every time I watch this. It’s just a fucking masterpiece. A true legend of our generation Thank you Lana❤️🌹

When Lana falls it's not just her fainting, but also touching on that part of the Bible which is known as 'The Fall'. Where God (or in this case John's) trust is broken with humans. This short movie is a masterpiece. I love how it also perfectly shows what lots of people believe the fruit from the tree symbolises which is sex. and how in Gods and Monsters it shows a corrupt world that has been driven on this sinful, unholy temptation. The impulses. The animal instincts. At the end it’s “Bel Air”. They remove their black garments in exchange for white, which symbolises purity, and there are cuts into what is a baptism, cleansing the sin and washing it away to start anew, re-appreciating the beauty of the earth that they took for granted before and then ascending to heaven. - after watching it several times it's actually genius and is totally the classic Lana aesthetic.

Im blessed to have witnessed the live shows of Madonna, Prince, George Michael, Pink, Blondie and Lana. The lasting impact of all those magnificent artists will stsy with me forever. I Love them all

I really want this to get the credit and recognition it deserves… she’s truly so amazing and i am so admirable of her mind. The way she seems to effortlessly capture different walks of life and tying it all back together. The way she was able to portray the message/ story through her voice in song, poetry and cinematography is something that should be studied. People have been so quick to jump the gun to cancel her but didn’t realize that masterpiece’s like this are what she was referring to. People are so quick to overlook and discredit her impact and artistry but don’t actually get into this kind of material. Me and my 2 best friends went to the premiere of this. Got there at 1230pm and our tickets (free) were for 9pm. We lived in Orange County so there was no way we were going home and coming back. We sat and waited in line for hours. Lana came around 6pm on a red carpet, I got so close to her I could touch her. My best friend gave her a note and Lana gave her a kiss on the cheek. When we finally got into the theater, Lana came out and made a cute little speech. She did this for every viewing. After the last show, she went outside and signed autographs. She truly is amazing and I love her so much!
