Opening that window to take photos is a huge mistake! It takes a second for them to spring and drag you out the window. It’s happened before. These are not pets these wild animals. You should never open your window near wild animals.

I’ve had many safaris in the Kruger park but we were always mindful and respected the animals, and never tried to be like that guy with a tiny car, leaving his window open to take a pic! We once had a herd of elephants so up close, , touching our car with his trunk, which was beautiful but at the same time also scary! Such gracious animals!
