Y’know what’s good? A Lego worker did a mistake but lego didn’t fire them, nor punish them, they installed new lighting to help the worker/s. “A worker’s mistake is a company mistake.” I have been a fan of lego for 8 years and this just shows true dedication to The LEGO Group and LEGO as a toy brand itself.

The one time I did call for a piece that I was missing, they sent me 2 pieces. I also later found the piece I was missing because I had misplaced it, so the set was still perfect and never was missing a piece. That is absolute quality control, assurance, and customer assistance.
@DrewPicklesTheDark2 роки тому
Yeah, back in the 90s the boxes used to have these flip lid things to let you see "star pieces" of the set. Unfortunately, sometimes people would steal the minifigs, so I got a set like that once as a gift (gift giver didn't notice), and my mother called them and they sent the figures and also some extra stuff, I was so happy.
@bibop1332 роки тому
I will never understand why people are still buying Lego today. The quality both of stones and sets diminished massively over the last few years and yet the price of Lego went up by way way way to much. Rarely you get a decent set thats priced kinda fairly in the Lego world... most of the time its still overpriced tho.

@jon....2 роки тому
Maybe you’re just nostalgic because the quality of set design has increased 10x in the last 20 years. Minifigure molds and prints even more so. Lego has also pretty much stayed the same price adjusted for inflation, so again idk what your talking about.

Capitalism ho! And the best part is today with the internet it couldn't be easier and cheaper to do it, so more people can expedite their growth. One of my buddies used to do art sculpting and he made a phone accessory which is now in almost every store. He used to make it by hand, I helped him setup his factory and now he can pretty much fill all his orders while he sits at his desk coming up with new designs. The only real employees he needs are for packaging, customer service, marketing, and lawyers (because once you make money, everyone starts trying to come up with excuses so they can steal it from you, even your "friends").

My uncle was living in Germany. He returned to Vietnam, his hometown, to visit our big family. He gave his nieces a set of Lego. I was among those 5 kids who could play it, but I could never own it. It was kept in the house of my oldest cousin. Everytime I wanted to play with it, I had to ask my father to come to her house which was quite far from my house. I was around 5 or 6 yrs old at that time. After years, a lot of bricks from that set were missing. When I was 26 years old, I got job and credit card. The first thing I ordered from an international store was a set of Lego. I bought that set from Lego official website and finally I could own it. It is still completely in good conditions in my closet and no any part missing. It is my fortune. I was trying to buy it because I have been always missing the beautiful small bricks I got when I was a child. Now I can play it as much as I want to. I think Lego is the most useful invention for kids. It grows my childhood dream of being an Architect as well.

I've only seen 1 factory error for Lego in my entire life. It was in a set based on Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones. A spaceship had 2 right wing pieces instead of 1 left and 1 right. The fact that I've been playing with Lego for as long as I can remember and that is the only blunder really goes to show the quality control!

Pretty amazing to see all the industrial machinery, processes, and just how big the factories are to make Lego. Still and will probably always will be my favourite toy. The colorful vast assortment of bricks and infinite creation possibilities. It keeps me in the joy of feeling like a kid.

That was pure engineering bliss. The automation, the organization, the infrastructure...the planning that had to go into it... That scratched a long lost itch. Wait, maybe it missed a spot. I'd better watch again to make sure. ;)

I really, really love this toy. If there's one thing I can keep doing all day it's playing with this toy. It helps me to focus, keeps me happy, and distracts me from whatever problems I have everyday.

I want to say thank you for this wonderful and creative construction set, every time my mother bought me a small set, which for me was the best toy after my soft toys, thank you very much again for a kind and happy childhood, your designer still gives me the same feelings as in childhood. 👍💙

The machine that presses the plastic into a brick is still the same! Just massively scaled up and and super technologically advanced. I love it!

one time I got a set with a large piece missing. Sent it back to the lego store and they were really surprised XD. Don't know how rare of a chance that is.
@Spoonable3 роки тому
maybe they were surprised that you sent it back? they have a whole thing on their website where you can order missing parts which would have been better than returning the whole thibg

i'm glad that modelling a lego brick is possible. nice history video!

@jorgezombie783 роки тому
decent? tolerance in clearance between two pieces is less than 11 microns and the machines punch 15000 of them every minute. this is the best engineering i know about.

Legos were always a favorite toy of mine. When I constructed a retaining wall on the drainage ditch when our street was worked on in 2017 I laid the concrete blocks just like you would Legos.

38 years old and my spouse got me a box of Legos and it was amazing! Brought me back to my childhood and I made a cool bulldozer, which I still play with. Want to get more to make many more things.

That was impressive. Lego is a part of my childhood and a bit of now. And it was nice to see how this wonderfull bricks get created :D

When I was a kid, the first LEGO was soviet prototype with metallic and plastic pieces, few years later father bought few packages of original LEGO models, including LEGO Technic. Now I am working with CNC machines as well! Which control panel do you use during the process? We have Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, but I use mostly Heidenhain with Hero OS installed because of its intuitive interface (but also a bit limited, because the machine itself has only 3 coordinates and additional table with 2 axes of rotation).
@prxnav_pov4 роки тому
yuritopoop we own Fanuc,making,hmc,Zeiss and operate around 150 CMC machines in total

Man, thinking about how many different sets they have with so many different pieces and so many decals I imagine they must have a lot of machines. How big of an area would you need to gather all the pieces for, say, the big Millennium Falcon set?
