@Kasyom
@Kasyom Рік тому
@@Sonny_Allgoodeven though I am Indian, I used to work for British Telecom. I worked in the call center for the billing department. One such product we used to offer was a router that would plug into electrical switches. The concept was that instead of sharing internet through dedicated ethernet cables, as long as your electrical circuits were linked to each other, you could transmit internet signals over it. There would be no loss of internet speed. All you need is a male and female adaptor to plug into a wall socket. It would have female ethernet points in them. This just seems like a more expensive version of that.

Powerline can be a good compromise in older properties where you can’t run cables and wi-fi is a challenge (try a 15th century house with stupid thick walls). Using Gigabit adaptors from the likes of TP-link or Netgear is ample for most homes even for streaming UHD and you can mix with wi-fi where needed so kids can have their phones in the bedrooms and kitchen. My experience with Devolo is not good so after several bad experiences I stay away. A fully meshed wi-fi solution will also do the trick but if you only want what you need for what you can afford Powerline is good enough - just hope neighbours on the same phase aren’t using it too.
