This had so much potential. Mini fridges, juicers, blenders, mixers, cocktail makers, crock pots (would have been cool to make a variety of soups/pot roasts), or even obnoxious rooster clocks everyone's grandma has in their kitchen. Complete disappointment.

Even if they stopped now, Ralph would never be able to live his life the way it was before. Missing hand and foot, EA has already altered Ralph's fate and humanity. Savages.

Just found out that certain ice creams give you temporary emotional boosts and physical traits. So I guess that's something. Doesn't change my opinion of the pack at all, so I'm leaving the video as-is. But I'm sure some will think sprouting leaves from your arms is worth $10, so I figured I'd mention it.

Who else thought when EA said 'Cool Kitchen' was coming soon we'd be getting a few new Fridges, Sinks, Cookers & maybe a Food Mixer or Juicer! I did. I need the variety. This is basically 'Cool Ice Cream with Accessories'. I don't see how often I'd even use the icecremer!

Wait wait wait wait.... are you telling me that fuckin' dishwashers aren't in the base Sims 4 game?

So it will be one stuff pack per month ($10, 12 per year), one game pack each 6 months ($20, 2-3 per year) and one expansion pack each 8-ish months ($40, 2 per year). In total, we can expect about 16+ packs per year ($240+), if they put as much stuff as they did on The Sims 3 (TS4 will probably live one year longer than 3), we can expect 12+ Expansion Packs ($480+), 9+ Stuff Packs ($180+) and god knows how many game packs (TS3 had a life span of 5 years or so, I'll go with 60+ packs, so $600+) I guess I'll pass on buying anything if they hope me to spend $1300+ to have a full game. Ralph wont live to see the next year.

This should have been a free update to "reward" EA's customers for supporting their product and purchasing the game and sticking with it. So many other games being released that are getting free updates for their customers (ie. Ark Survival Evolved, Witcher 3, Grand Theft Auto 5 Online, Guild Wars 2, Cities Skylines). Instead of all the Stuff Packs most companies would make these as free incentives to keep the game interesting and their clients complimenting their product. For those saying "ya but they need to make money somehow", well, Other game developers seem to be doing fine with not having to charge their clients an extra $10 a month for game additions that can easily be added in with a small patch. You would think with all the terrible reviews the game had at release that EA would have learned something. Game changing expansions I am fine with, these small useless filler packs are not a good way to strengthen loyalty for the game. Oh and Walmart sells Real-life Ice Cream makers starting at $15. 8P

Completely agree. The ice cream maker's cool, I think. I like the different effects the different flavours have on your Sims and I like the CAS items but hey, custom content exists and it's free so I don't really need more CAS items. The kitchen stuff is the ugliest, most nondescript, useless part of the pack and it's SUPPOSED to be the main theme of the pack??? No thank you. I liked Luxury Party, I liked Perfect Patio. For me, they both added stuff that I actually would use a lot but this? This isn't worth the $2.99 most other DLC is priced at in other games, let alone $10. Definitely skipping Cool Kitchen, don't want it, don't need it. I'd rather save up for something that's actually important in the series like oh I don't know... family gameplay!

You should add some more limbs to Ralph, otherwaise we are gonna end up with just a pelvis and it wont even be half of the SPs that they have prepared for us

I played The Sims 2 base game for MONTHS (probably almost a year) before I even knew about other expansion packs - I was THAT content with the game. And when I finally did get expansion packs, I enjoyed and happily explored every single new interaction, object and neighborhood for months again, for years even (and I only had University and Nightlife). Now the games aren't filled with enough content that I'd actually like so I'd have to buy heaps worth of packs, each only carrying crumbs of the FEAST I had in such a humble collection of previous Sims games. Seriously EA? You release a stuff pack with only two chairs?!!?! TWO?!!?!

I hate how they didnt even bother animating opening the dishwasher. It just opens by itself. The sims 2, you get ASMR from just watching the animations lol

I actually like the stuff in this pack. The clothing is pretty nice, the ice cream machine is pretty nice and so’s the furniture. What I don’t like is that there isn’t more? For a kitchen pack I was expecting a variety of fridges, counters, tables, CHAIRS, ovens etc. I was also hoping for usable fruit bowls, an ice cream truck to go along with it and couple of other cool and classic kitchen knick knacks. If this was cheaper it would be sweet but it isn’t.

I don't even play The Sims, but this kind of thing is just abhorrent. If they did a system that let fans pay $10 for a year's worth (or $12 maybe?) of tiny update packs like this, that would be one thing. But $10 for what this pack offers is way *way* too high. As always, your honesty in a game series like The Sims that you grew up loving is very much appreciated, Clint.

This is a huge disappointment. When I first heard of this pack, I thought it would have a lot of cool items like blenders, mixers, crock pots and other cool food making machines... after finding out that all it had was an ice cream machine that’s no good with some “cool” stuff that’s made for just cosmetics, I really hate this pack.

Thx for this review, I thought they missed stuff on 'content' list or something but it's really a missed opportunity..

Ralph doesn't stand a chance. But don't stop with just one Ralph. Make more of them. By the end when you have a box full of body parts I implore you to send it straight to EA labled with the message. "YOU DID THIS!"

Thank you for reviewing this and saving me $10. It makes me sad how disappointing it looks. This stuff pack was actually the only one that interested me. I *thought* it would come with several new counters, appliances, and recipes. Instead, there are only a couple of items that look no different than what is in the base game. The hair and clothes look nice but I can wait until some modder ports them.

I hope EA feels happy for themselves. They are killing The Sims, and in turn, killing Ralph. I still haven't bought very much for the Sims 4. I have the base game, and the first expansion, but other than that, I haven't bothered. So far, I am finding myself enjoying the Sims 2 and 3 a lot more, especially with the pile of CC and store content I gathered for those two games.

It's not much of a kitchen stuff pack when it only gives you one option, might as well have called it "one new 10 dollar kitchen". Don't think anyone at maxis was actually asked to make this pack. They just took a couple of items they had been messing around with in a lunch break and added it without telling anyone.
