I agree. I make videos on UKposts for sims and review the games (not stating the channel for privacy reasons) and I prefer to tell the cold hard truth about my opinion about the game (which I am pretty critical about)

Reggie Reginato Well yeah,As Buffet tables were added into the base game in the Sims 3. Well atleast in the console release of which I played. Of course,the PC versions of the games are way more better for so many reasons.

Your right, I'll wait to pass full judgment a while longer. However you did hit the absolute biggest thing I'm tired of, and that is the costly add on packs. No, one doesn't have to buy them all, but it's still a big no thanks for me at this time. And honestly, I never had much issues with the Open World... Well, scratch that as I did have an absolute ton of issues with Bridgeport (though my current gaming Rig doesn't choke on it). But for now, I'm still very happy with Sims 3 and the largish Union Cove town. Too bad LGR never reviewed it, but then again it was just an aftermarket town offering no new content and was put together by several people over on Carl and Pam's Sims 3 Forum.

After 2 years I guess this game has become better, since they added pools and toddlers as free patch. Still no open world or color wheel for customization. Way EA is handling their other titles *cough* Battlefront 2 *cough* it's not surprise they are milking The Sims series as well... Wouldn't be surprised if The Sims 5 have loot boxes and microtransactions.

Danijel Ujčič I still can't believe EA had the guts to release Sims 4. You don't even need to have played the first three to know Sims 4 is a MESS. It was quite obvious from the start that they were gearing this game toward 10 year olds. The trailer consisted of a cartoon low polygon figure getting depressed from violin playing, getting attacked by a voodoo doll, dying from laughter, and a cupcake machine. What a flop. EA should be ashamed. What happened to the crude humor and sexual innuendos?

They may have realized that actually supporting mods in any way would make people ignore the pathetic job they do with stuff packs, either that or it'd make them actually do a half decent job of them.

***** First Comment: It's not bullshit, by fucking maxis standards a cube with a slight gradient texture on it is considered a worthwhile addition, i could make you a whole furniture set styled like that in less than a week, variations for all lights, on the wall, floor and ceiling. That table could be adapted to work as an end table and coffee table too with slight alterations to height and width. I make models for a living so yeah it's absolutely possible for me to do. The horrendous mod tool is the third party tool kit because they supply no support of their own, which was my point so thanks for adding to it. Second Comment: Nope, not ignoring that, my point had nothing to do with the minor scripts you can make that don't impact their sales, if they made it easy to add objects by having official tools or even a plugin for blender, it would impact their sales as people could just make what they want instead of having to wait and pay for some bullshit pack of a dozen objects and some clothing items that look downright awful for the most part.

Flad Mast You must be new, people have been charging for mods for the Sims since the second one. Think it was The Sims Resource that required a paid membership to download most of the mods at one point (something they don't do now). Just because the Skyrim community treats its modders like shit when they want to spend more time on mods and make a living out of it doesn't mean other communities do.

Sims4News We shouldn't have to, but the sad truth is that this is something new and different for the sims! Normally they don't make stuff with new interactions in these sorts of packs, so a few new animations is something new and different. It's still not enough to make me interested in Sims 4, I'll stick with my awesome open towns of Sims 3

Thus why it is more reasonably priced,as they wouldn't have priced it the same as the previous stuff packs. Though tbh I won't be getting this stuff pack because the stuff is so useless to my style of play.

Erik Armstrong Very true indee. Still the price is suprising, this is EA after all. I wouldn't be getting this stuff pack either if I owned Sims 4, nothing interests me. If I want to make a stinking rich simsthey'll be leaving in an Victorian style house, not some snazzy new age thing. Why can't they have a expansion or stuff pack which has to do with things other than being rich/famous/fabulous anyway? I think the only stuff pack I got for the Sims 3 (in a sale) was the 70s,80s and 90s stuff pack. And that was purely because a couple items inrested me...however I'd have never have bought it if wasn't for the Create a Style feature.

Grumpydrawer Yea ik not haven't create a style is absolutely dreadful it was one of the best features in the Sims 3 and they took it out. Best features being imo as I like to play the game simplistically. Also,it is rather indeed annoying that they choose a rich life style of modern living over having stuff packs that just seem more useful and would be bought by more people. Of course from what I have seen in people who play the Sims 4 is that they bought the Luxury stuff pack.

Erik Armstrong Lazyness. They were just to lazy to make the SIms 4 work with a Create a Style coponent. Those it's still making the big bucks so I suppose buisness wise it was a good move. I just liked it since I like customizing things to hell and back. Even if they does take up alot of time which could be spent doing other things. The amount of time I spent customizing that Victorian house I once built must in the hundreds... Well of course people bought it. It's the first stuff pack and it was relatively cheap. They want to see how the new stuff packs are and game DLC is always tempting if you have little idea what it is and it's so cheap.

Look up cdkeys, everything sims is cheap there, some expansion packs for less than half the price, half price bundles, etc
