Hi - checking out your product and accessories with interest. Could you please explain why it is that you need the XR charging adapter in order to watch 360 VR video with the SpaceWalker app?

@@GeraldDonovan Thanks so much for your interest, the XR adapter needs to transfer 3DoF IMU data, which currently is not supported via iPhone's USB-C port.

@@VITURE Thanks. Ok so I've gone ahead and for now just ordered the glasses and the neck band. Still unclear as to the potential use cases though - it is all a little confusing. Is spatial video only available when playing directly from an iPhone 15, and the USB-C XR charging adapter must be used?

@@GeraldDonovan The spatial video can play directly from an iPhone 15, but without the adapter you will need manually switch on the 3D mode on the glasses (long press the short button on the glasses). With the adapter though, everything is automatic, the XR glasses intuitively switch to 3D for spatial videos and back to 2D for regular content, providing an unparalleled user experience:) Thank you so much for your support!

I know! Apple is missing out the world largest immersive library and make their own? But again, no statement from Google yet... Unless Google is planning something huge we don't know ... Samsung maybe?

Just pondering on this. I had been assuming that were I to create some spatial videos and want to share them with people who have the AVP, uploading to UKposts would be the natural thing to do. But with no UKposts app for the AVP, what is the best option for publishing "casual" spatial video content for AVP owners to watch?

rather than a physical light blocker, I'd like to see one introduce something like the electric version of those transition lenses to darken further

This one is already really really dark. Most of the time is really enough unless you want to go to sleep under the sun while watching movie.

It will work with Android but not spatial video. Spatial video is an Apple only thing for now

Nope. They are exactly the same right now. There is LiDar data embeded on the MV-HEVC I heard but it is not being used so they are just same thing but different names

@@hughhouthanks, I thought about maaybe they are trully adding the ability to change our pov inside videos with the lidar information but it seems that's maybe for the unforeseeable future :) the bandwidth , file sizes etc would be enormous

I tried the spatial camera app on your recommendation, but found there is a slight misalignment between the two lenses, resulting in a shimmering/wobble effect in the final video. The built-in Apple software works fine, but is of course limited to 1080p/30fps. Anyone else having the same issue?

Yes. I notice this problem as well. And it is ONLY when I move the phone. If you lock your iPhone on a tripod or stands, it look fine to me. I think the developer did not think about the IMU. Since different lens will have different IMU when the phone is moving and it will mess with the calibration. I hope they can fix it but I don't know them. Lol, anyone do let them know!!

Awesome video ! I have the Rokid Air and also learned from Reddit that the Spacewalker app works for playing back Spatial Videos with it and was excited by that. Is the ffmpeg metadata step you show in your Quest 3 video what you use for iPhone 15 Pro spatial videos too ? I tried that but adjusted the aspect ratio to 1.67 eg "ffmpeg -i sbs-img_0083.MOV -aspect 1.67 -c copy -metadata:s:v:0 stereo_mode=1 ffmpeg-sbs-img-0083.mkv" assuming that's required compared to Quest 3's square aspect ratio. My test video ukposts.info/have/v-deo/bWmWnYGkhIN9uaM.html works fine on Quest 3 but when I view it with Spacewalker app, the aspect ratio isn't right and looks messed up compared to your Lake Tahoe video. Thanks !
