I look at people more closely when I talk to them, paying attention to their facial expressions and body language. It’s so interesting the more I do this because I am getting better at understanding people, like before I subconsciously understood so much but now it’s like all those subconscious understandings are clearly at the front of my brain as I notice the squinting of their eyes or looking away ever so briefly. I like this way as I feel I am respect people more and loving them. I enjoy life more this way. It’s a quiet, peaceful experience.

Walking Into a Room by Eddie Spaghetti January 4, 2023 Walking into a room of soon to be new friends I look at them and think how lucky I am to be here. Living a life with a heart so full of love for everyone and everything is so much more enjoyable than the old way I used to do, always complaining about the legitimate things around me that are not cool. Those things still exist, but I don’t pay any attention anymore because I’m too busy enjoying the things I like and even the things I don’t like by having a positive attitude toward them. I won’t let them get me down or my friends. I am here to be the hero. I will clasp my hands together and hold them in a praying stance and give a little bow with my head and a smile saying, “Thank you” to everyone in that room. And when I end on the last person in the room, whom I made sure to land on last, I pause and don’t say thank you to him because I want to play with his emotions and self-esteem and my opinion of him as a half man and half god to him, whose opinion he values highly and will remember for the rest of his life being that he is only 7 years old and a little shy but eager to show me his love for One Piece when I show it to him on my phone. He’s a good boy with a good family and I am lucky to be an inspiration to him. So after my long pause and staring into his eyes, I say, “And thank you to you too!” And we give each other a loud hi-five. Then I give him a little One Piece bracelet with a silver skull and red-shirt Luffy on it. I put it on his wrist and say, “Now you are one the Straw Hat Crew. We are on the same team. Be a good pirate now.” If you recall such memories when you were just a kid, you will know how I am right to every once in a while create a special moment for someone. It may be just a light thank you at the time, how dear, but a few months later or years, that memory will come back and feel dear to you, change your perspective even, give you strength when life gets hard. This is what goes through my mind when I enter or leave a room full of wonderful people, the best.

fascinating comment: "people are 3 dimensional; people are contradictory." In high school I enjoyed reading many fiction books, and very much enjoyed the Conan the Barbarian series ... I was surprised to find that the series was continued even after the passing of the original writer of the first Conan books. And mostly, those earlier novels are my favourite. Talking of "preferring the earlier content" I am overjoyed to genuinely say that with the Mandalorian and also the Andor series..... the Star Wars franchise has regained its former nitty-gritty goodness.
