In this video, we will learn how to make Low-Powered LoRa Based Wireless Weather Station using Arduino Pro Mini & ESP32 WiFi Module.
The weather station is kept at the top of my roof and I am using BME280 Sensor along with a BH1750 Light sensor and also a Rain Sensor. It is designed using 3.3V Arduino Pro Mini & LoRa Module SX1278/RFM95. Basically, this weather station is monitoring the Environment parameters like Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, Altitude, Dew Point, Rainfall & Light Intensity. Using the LoRa I am able to monitor the data from a few kilometer distances. The device is operated by a battery and power consumption is low.
The Gateway located indoors inside my farmhouse. The gateway is made using Lora SX1278/RFM95 and ESP32 Wifi Module. The receiver collects the data from the sender and uploads it to the Server.
I have designed the 3 systems altogether, where you can monitor the data. The first system is the Webserver. Using the local IP Address you can monitor the Weather Station Data on your web browser. In the second method, we are uploading the weather Data to Thingspeak Server. And in the third method, we are monitoring the Weather Data on Blynk Application.
