To be fair tho, that descriptor can be used for all of Skynyrd’s work. Whatever else one could possibly say, the one guarantee is that you’re going to experience some incredible existential authenticity manifest through music So fucking good dawg

I was 17 In 77 my favorite singers was Elvis and Ronnie Van Zant and I remember that year I was working in a fancy restaurant and come on TV Elvis past on and John Bookite, from work came over to me and told me I got the shit that killed Elvis,5 min after the news of his passing and took my first hit of weed and then went on to smoke enough to sink a battleship and later the Skynyrd's Plane went down I,m now 63 just lost mom she was 101 and I was with her every step of the way after my divorce and got out of Prison for selling cocaine and I had the World by the balls at the time left my kids my new home in the park at East fork lake. I sang all my life in my car and one day I went to a Karaoke Bar did a Elvis song Little sister and Lynyrd Skynyrd truck driving man and give me back my bullets and people standing up and loving it so much they demanded me to sing more this was a band backing me up they were very good also. It was a young crowd early twenties they thought we made the songs the bar reminded the youngins it was Karaoke night and they didn't know I was copying. that was last week. I think all the band but Artemis is gone but the band lives on in us lord bless there souls I loved them all. Now what we move on to World War 3, I guess Lord help us all I am that I am Bless the Earth and rid of the foolish leaders ramping up war it could be the very end of life as we know it very soon so say your Prayers . Ladies and Gentleman Jonny has left the page.

Dave Bates didnt hide his fave band or his love for the lord Jesus His family dogs name being Skynard and his passion for his lord and saviour on display to who new and loved him and whose lives he came in contact with The shock of hearing of his sudden passing has literally changed me to want to live a more meaningful life as Daves was loving like Christ 1964-2022 Dave was a huge role model to me the 6 years I was blessed to have known him like my 2nd family I always felt Donald Allen Stiles

I wish I could explain the times when I became a fan. Late seventies Kiss was rocking, AC/DC was my favorite, the 60s influence was hitting hard, Led and the love of my life Stevie Nicks still kicked ass. Skyn. brought easy mind thinking and give hope to the southern man that was being hated because the world thought the Southern man was racist. Us folks that didn't understand why people thought we hated black folks because we were southern. Skynard proved them different and we praised them because of it. It was a different time for sure. The band got political with gun rights ( Saturday night Special ) and fell, personality I think something always was smelled fishy about the plane crash. But back in the day that band was a band you could sit back in the shade and enjoy yourself with. By the way, find Christ and HE will save you from hell. I could keep typing but my hen pekking finger is getting tired 😂. Later dude

LYRICS: Well I've been ridin' a winning horse for a long, long time Sometimes I wonder is this the end of the line No one should take advantage of who they are No man has got it made If he thinks he does, he's wrong Every mother's son better hear what I say Every mother's son will rise and fall someday I've seen it happen so many times, so many times before Some man got so much money he doesn't worry no more Or he's got such a pretty woman that'll treat him fine Well my friend has been a fool It happens every time Every mother's son better hear what I say Every mother's son will rise and fall someday I'm not tryin' to preach to no one, to no one at all I've seen so many of my good friends just rise to fall 'Cause they got so much money or a woman so fine Well my friends have all been fools, it happens every time Every mother's son better hear what I say Every mother's son will rise and fall someday What I say What I say Oh, every mother's son will rise and fall someday
