I think they will only have iPad Air in March and Pro in June. They cancelled the event due to iPad Pro delay. Maybe the M3 Mac Mini is dropped early to take in its place.

It has 120hz, great screen, support for Apple Pencil 2, so… the only things that MAY push me to upgrade is: Oled, some kind of MagSafe, Dynamic Island, reverse charging, AND better battery which given the performance of the M3, that may be given.

The mini is not getting a redesign after just 1 generation, and the performance with A16 or A17 would be like only 10-20% better than A15. And that’s about it.

@@buttercat1208 it hasn’t had an update since Sept 2021. It doesn’t need a different form factor, but the display and SOC and WiFi speed and compatibility with the upcoming Apple Pencil would be appreciated after 2 1/2 years of no updates.

@iakona23 wifi and soc updates are very minor, and yes they re there. But i would guess that the display wont be any better since the new iPad air would keep the same spec, which is 500nit LCD at 60hz. And the mini would most likely keep using the 2nd gen pencil like the new air as well.

@@mistahozzySame here and I took it to Apple few days before the 1 year warranty expired ends. They tested it and threw all kinds of excuses like using VPN! I upgraded from 2017 iPad Pro 10.5” because the battery wore off, not because it was slow or unable to run apps. My son is using it and it’s on the latest OS. You’re totally right about them needing up with this particular iPad (mine is the 11”). I think it’s the M2 chip power or the way that it’s calibrated that is draining the battery. It gets hot suddenly or when there is some son light and the brightness increase. Then it gets hot and the battery goes on a countdown. That’s chip and power needed a better battery, cooling system and calibration. The hey shouldn’t have released it when they couldn’t figure it out. Shame on them and this was the first time I’m disappointed with an Apple device I was waiting for, for a long time, and also disappointed with the Genius Bar and the excuses they made up as of I’m not a computer engineer and know details down to the transistor level. I bought the 15 Pro Max (from 12 Pro Max), but I’m slowing down on buying new devices after that incident and disappointment. Which is continuous, the 13 Pro max had better battery than all its successors. The used one RAM module in the M2 MacBooks instead of 2 in the M1. They halved memory bandwidth on the M3 Pro! Cook’s greed and prioritizing shareholders above loyal long time users is getting ridiculous and 100% opposite to Job’s approach where they had best customer satisfaction rates. This guys is genius in supply chain but zero charisma and zero understanding how important to build and maintain a wide base of loyal customers. It’s we who are part of Apple success. I won’t change to any $hit Android or switch back to oven Windows PC after 15 years. But I’ll definitely slow down and think twice and thrice before spending any penny on them. And I don’t even talk about the ridiculous prices hike in the UK when the GBP is doing better that the USD, forcing us to pay for the EU fines issued against Apple!

the first iPad Pro to get the mini LED was 2021 M1 iPad Pro, and they're prolly not the ones that Apple is targeting with this. No one really upgrades their iPad every other year (actually more like 3 years in this case but) so it's mostly aimed at those who are using at least 2020 iPad Pro or older that are stuck with LCD. For them it'll make a HUGE difference. That, combined with M3 chip and more, is enough to get some people excited.

Never gonna happen. Why would they Ever bring MacOS to iPad when they can sell u both the iPad and Mac. Which company would cannibalize the sales of one their best selling products irrespective( MacBook Air’s) to bring MacOS the iPad. That’s also why the MacBooks would never get a touch screen display. Tbh y’all asking for much at this point.

@@Testimony201 Whilst I agree thats what Apple is doing, trying to get double sales, the problem is few people are buying both, and the only way to save the iPad is to have dual OS support. Putting an M3 chip in an iPad and giving it a keyboard and then artificially crippling it by denying software which its more than capable of running, is just silly and greedy in equal measure.
