My interpretation of this song is that it's a reflective piece, but also a celebratory lap. He's calling out the music industry for making him feel like nothing more than a puppet, essentially breaking him down to nothing more than a slave, hence he "just shuts his mouth and waves". To dance on someone's grave is to be happy someone has passed on, to rejoice in someone's death. So, if he's dancing on his own grave, he's happy that his old self is "dead", and he's more free to be his own person and explore whatever creative avenues his heart desires.

I’m a rap and rock fan. And I’ve been a MGK fan since I was 13-14 and I am 23 now… but once MGK turned to rock full time even tho I started off as his fan liking his rapping. I honestly hope he sticks to rock and only raps sometimes now. But I hope he does rock for most of the rest of his career. MGK is and always will be in my top 10 fav artists of all time no cap🤘🏻🤘🏻

The part when they showed Rook’s leg really touched me. When Tickets To My Downfall came out I was in a very dark depressed state and that album literally saved my life. I am now in a very good place and just got my first professional job! I’ve struggled with anxiety & depression for years, when tickets to my downfall came out it was such a touching moment, it helped me get through so much. His music is like therapy! Such a big inspiration. I just wanted to say also this song is a another level!! Machine gun kelly should be proud of himself, been through so much in his life and he still performs such great music!! He deserves everything he gets out of this.

@@lotan9398 Yes, I am serious. I know many drummers (and am a guitarist myself) and they always say this, then show me what a really good drummer looks like. He is good for sure, but as far as professionals go, he is not "amazing or iconic". He is a punk icon, but definitely not a drumming icon. Want to see someone who drummers would consider iconic? Look up Neal Peart, Mike Portnoy, or even Matt Halpern. When you play really simple music like Blink-182, then the drums are not going to be amazing. He is just flashy and a really good entertainer.

I love the artistic imagery. He is surrounded by paper walls that represent all the deals he has signed and was restricted by and each one did its damage like a papercut. He pushes the paper walls away and becomes his true self, full of color, rich with many characters that represent his personality and emotions. Chaotic and free so different from all the rest.
