You don't need to match capacities, that's the point of a battery balancing system.

@@ixamraxi your mistaken. The bms wont operate as advertised if you dont pre match the cells. Please allow me to save you some time and effort. Match your cells and always check each cells internal resistance. If you do those 2 things your battery packs will last a long long time. Years and years. Especially important if your using recovered cells from laptops etc.. You can buy a hobby charger like a sky rc imax b6 for less then $50. It will charge and discharge. It will balance charge up to 6 lith-ion cells. And it will check your internal resistance. If your getting a ebike and you tinker absolutely get one. I have 4 of them so i can analyze cells i recover faster.

@@kennedy6971 It will, modern bms systems will simply limit all cell performance/capacity to the lowest one, which improves longevity of the pack as the cells slowly degrade over time. You could get slightly better performance by pre-balancing, but generally individual cells are close enough in manufacturing quality that once charged you can check internal resistance and grab a set that all show the same voltage and be confident their capacities are close enough to the advertised value that the bms will sufficiently protect them for the expected lifespan. I would seriously doubt any claim that major manufacturers are balancing more than this.

@@ixamraxi The only problem that I see with what you've written is that it only applies if you already know FOR SURE what the specs of your batteries are but we arent talking about that kind of scenario. In this video the batteries used to replace the bad batteries are probably not from the same manufacturer as the original batteries. The fella in the video doesnt say where the replacement batteries come from or how old or used they are. Neither does he show that he tested ANY of the batteries for ANYTHING. All of this matters more than you might think. Lets say that the batteries in the drill pack are LG's, rated for 1500mah's so you grab several random replacement batteries based upon the fact that those replacement batteries are also rated to have a capacity of 1500mah. What if the LG's remaining in the pack are NOT 1500mah anymore? And are you sure that those random replacement batteries are still 1500mah as well?-or ever were? AND are you sure that the replacement batteries are rated for the max continuous current draw that battery operated power tools like a circular saw demand? And are you sure that even if the replacement batteries have a high enough max continuous current draw rating to properly run a battery operated tool, does that rating match up with the max continuous current draw rating of the LG batteries that remain in the battery pack? 18650s put into power tool battery packs have a max continuous current draw rating of around 30amps and up. Your run of the mill 18650 removed from a laptop pack usually has a max continuous current rating of less than 2amps!! Now, imagine trying to pull 30+ continuous amps from a lithium battery designed to tolerate less than a 2amp continuous output. Can you say FIRE!? There is a whole lot more to "matching up batteries" than simply getting the capacity ratings listed on their outer covers as close as possible. Speaking of which, lets go back to that part of the topic. I recently pulled a bunch of LG 1500mah batteries from two 5 year old, aftermarket 18v Ryobi battery packs that werent charging anymore. One 18650 "cell" in each pack had gone bad. The rest of the batteries from each pack were good BUT all tested out at just 75% to 85% their originally rated capacity. Its normal for lithium batteries to lose capacity over time and use, so unless you test them, you have absolutely no idea if a used lithium battery still has its original capacity or not. So yeah. Im with all the folk in here who recommend making sure that you know the "TRUE" stats of your batteries by testing each before using any of them in a project such as the one shown in this video. As I said, there is MUCH more to these 18650 batteries than simply throwing a bunch with similar capacities together in a pack.

@@user-hz1ew1jr9d Трансформатор от микроволновки. Вторичка удалена. Вместо нее несколько(2-4) витков медного провода. При сварке важен ток, а не напряжение, поэтому важна толщина провода, а не число витков. На видео провод тонковат. Собран самый примитивный вариант, поэтому много искр, что не есть гуд. Повторять не рекомендую. Это хрень.

@vinnyboombatz1399 you have to move the - close the the + each time you do a spot weld it's not the same as arc or mig welding but I'll admit I thought the same thing as you at first. And I agree the way the wires are run through the casing is just asking for a short circuit lol I would def use a grommet or rubber hose to insulate better

При такой сварке элемент уже можно выбросить , чудо что он не прожёг элемент . Хорошая сварка происходит за счёт кратковременного импульса тока большой силы . Тогда и элемент не нагревается выше 60 градусов , и пластину оторвать невозможно .

Легче приварить новые , чем старые оставлять , при плохом примыкании или не будет нормального контакта , или можно даже элемент прожечь .

@@user-nu1ev7ci8z посмотрел, там не 7 а 0,07в. Вот на каждой 0 - 0,07 - 0,02 - 0 - 0,02в - это что за напряжение на банках? Какой балансир, тут батарею З/у не видит и не запускает. Нужно вручную каждую банку зарядить и на остаточную емкость проверить, хотя литий если разряд ниже 2-2,5 вольт - то там такая потеря емкости и деградация, что в мусор сразу ото всё... А этот мастер итальяно, что-то там намерил, оторвал, припаял. И Хорошо, Спасибо, Пока!) Короче Джованни криворукий "мастер" ломастер. От таких одни проблемы после ремонта. В итоге этот аккум от шурика в мусор выкинуть!

@@Aleks-kj1ww8ds8x Слабая сварка эта. этот трансформатор может не только фольгу, но и толстые листы стали до 3мм толщиной сваривать , только надо туда медный провод на 35 мм2 и три витка намотать.

Так у него и лента никелевая тоже максимум 1.2 мм . И то греет её до красна , а это хана элементам

hi, yes you basically have 220 direct volts. the small board would be for the switch but it depends on the case, some don't have it. If there is no switch, put one on for safety. bye thank you
