How to make a hydraulic press ??
Of course, it is very difficult to make it and for this you need professional machines, in my case I used the entire arsenal of my garage.
But the result exceeded even my most optimistic expectations.
Friends, I'm sure that you have never seen such a Multifunctional press.
In this video, I will share with you how I made a professional 20 ton hydraulic press.
The manufacturing process for this
machine took a little over a month, but I'm more than sure it was worth it.
Friends share this video and subscribe to the channel to be notified when I release new videos.

Грандиозный проект! Великолепная работа! И очень интересное видео. Но больше всего поражает, что такое огромное количество толстенного металла порезано болгаркой! Без преувеличения - это героизм. Восхищение и уважение. Удачи.

Some hint. When cutting threads by hand; oil cutter first, turn 1.5 times cw than turn 0.5 times ccw to break the shavings first and so on. Cut the thread in multiple steps by removing it after few turns, clean-off the shavings and proceed. Yes it takes more time but less than removing a broken cutter. That's how I was taught at Krupp Industry. (I really do like your videos) The guy has great humor and is really talented.

Another great job !!! Just one tipp - Of course there are special flute geometries available but the straight flute cutters which you use mainly break for two reasons. Either the core diameter is too small or if they are turned in one direction only. Reverting the turn direction of just as small as about one fourth (90°) after every full turn ensures chips are properly broken and second finding their way through the chip channels of the cutter. And for best practise you shall use a proper cutting oil anyway as well.

Yhea a dad or grandad who had bought and used his own workshop full of the big expensive tools etc that are needed and especially the many years of experience that he'd be willing to pass down would be sooooo cool. Inheriting an entire fully stocked and equipped workshop when he decides he's to old to use it all the time. By far the best bit though would be spending all that time with your grandad making things and being shown all the tips and tricks it takes years to learn, something the very lucky get to do and definitely something I'd personally think myself very blessed in so many ways to have. Oh well guess I can dream... 😊😅😮😢😂

И Осталось у него два сына, которые распродали весь инструмент за очень дешевую цену. И так не стало мастерской. И не знали два сына реальной цены инструмента и вложений своего отца. All presses should have lexan guards & a pressure gauge. We had 2 presses in our shop. I almost always used the one with a pressure guage to help judge if too much pressure was on small items. This press also had lexan guards on the side. Asked company several times to install a guage and lexan guards on 3 sides of other press but was told they were not needed. Any way a guy was attempting to press out a seized bearing on a rusted shaft. He was bent over looking at bearing while pumping handle. Bearing blow up sending a piece of metal cutting his lip, chipping two teeth and a cut tongue. Forget how many sitches he recieved. Next day they installed much needed lexan guards and ordered a pressure guage.

Cool video and a great project which is very useful. Well done. 👍 Rule of thumb;- When tapping a screw thread, the trick is to use plenty of oil or grease on the tap and to do a quarter of a turn and then 3 quarters of a turn back at a time, Keep on repeating this back and fourth until the screw thread is fully cut to a the depth that you want. If you feel any resistance when tapping NEVER EVER FORCE THE TAP ! as it will just break and you'll have a BIG problem of having to get the broken part of the tap out of your work !, as most taps are usually made from carbon steel which is very hard, but also very BRITTLE ! Hope this helps ! as I learnt this trick back in 1993 at high school when I was only 16 ! and have never broken a tap using this trick.

Tip: use milling bits to drill instead of normal drill bits you will find they drill a hell of alot easier and go through steel like butter, stock must be well clamped though Also invest in a magnetic milling drill you wont regret it!! You can get milling bits from 10mm to 80mm they are a bit more expensive but are worth every dollar and you will need to use cutting fluid with them
