this song speaks to me on a spiritual level, it's like a transcription of a relationship i had. this one and flowers are the ones i can relate so much to a point that it hurts. and it's like 'i love you but i love me more' is an extension of 'flowers', while flowers represents that short period of grief after ending a relationship when you keep asking yourself what could have been different, and i love you but i love me more it's more like when you've passed all that painful feeling and start to realise that the world is huge and there's too many nice people out there for you to be suffering for one that wasn't worth your love.

I’ve lost count of how many times I liked/“fell in love” with a guy first and then they didn’t value me just to later comeback or say that now they like me but honey, I don’t like you anymore. People move on. I gave you the chance and you didn’t take it, now it’s your loss.
