Given the history of him being insulted in his area I still think it was insensitive of her. In another song she sings "how dare you say its" - implying "over". So maybe he did tell her it was over, just not in the way she wanted. In addition, she was with Joe for 6 years and yet she wrote "guilty as sin," which if Joe hears it means he knows she was seriously passionate about Matty while she was with Joe - another hurtful thing toward someone she had said she loved. The girl is amazingly talented but she strikes back pretty hard.

Well, she had been working on this album for the past two years, according to her. Some songs came after she met Kelce, I'm sure, but many songs had already been written, and it wouldn't make sense to scrap music she's proud of just because it doesn't reflect her current state.

He wants to be known for being good artist but because of his childhood he has complicated relationship with fame (said it in multiple interviews). His parents were actors famous in UK, he said that paparazzi were relentless and they even hacked his mother phone. I think he was very satisfied with his level of fame so I assume he must have really like her at some point to expose himself to that.
