@@Nightwing-glYou're the one being childish here. Of course they wanna earn money from their game. It's your choice whether or not to purchase the pass. Even if you don't purchase it, it won't make you any less of a player compared to others because the epic equipment can be claimed by everyone. I don't know about the future but as of now, clash of clans is not pay to win *yet*. It's just pay to progress faster.

Great point, however I'd argue that the giant gauntlet will not be obselete in the near future but common equiptment will become obselete. So I'd say epic equiptment are a better long-term investment. For example, once frozen arrow is out AQ will likely always run frozen arrow + invis vial. Also, RC's life gem will likely be replaced by whatever RC equiptment is released next. So once the "meta-proof" equiptment (Tome, invis vial, maybe shield?) are maxed it's probably better to invest into gauntlet.

Correct, all common items will become obsolete fairly soon as I'm sure they plan to drop epics/legendaries. So why bother wasting resources on them. Just max the Gauntlet. The video is in the context of right now, but we all know Supercell wants $$$ so epics are going to be the meta.

I am currently only maxing the giant arrow, as it might be the only common to not become obsolete overtime, it’s ability is great to clear out most buildings from one point to another

I'm not too sure, the og hero abilites (which are now common hero equipment) were serviceable. Maybe they won't be nearly the village wreckers on the same level as epic equipment, but should still be usable and f2p viable, hopefully. If Supercell doesn't nerf them every time new gears come out to make you invest in the new gears, that is. I'm really hoping the CoC team won't go this route, I'm willing to give them to benefit of the doubt but who knows what the executives may push.

I personally feel there should be a decrease in the cost of the hammer of heroes as upgrading just one hero level is kinda waste now (as the abilities are now no longer getting upgraded every 5 levels of the hero). Also, there can be a new item in the League shop, called the Hammer of Equipment which can upgrade any hero equipment by one level in just one hit.

Would like to point out that 45% damage reduction is 75% of 60%, but that doesn't mean its 75% as good. This is because, for example, 50% damage reduction is half of 100% damage reduction, and 50% makes you twice as tanky but 100% makes you invincible. This is why the later upgrades, while still being the same 5%, are actually worth more. Doesn't make a whole lot of difference here, in terms of effective hp it still gives you 72%, but its worth considering

That a bad analogy to compare partial damage reduction vs complete damage reduction. 10% to 15% its significant improvement compare to 55% to 60℅

You can think that a king with 99% damage reduction will live twice as long compared to just 98% reduction (0.02/0.01) and that's what really matters in-game. 10%->15% is 5,9% time increase and 55%->60% it's 12,5% increase. 45%->60% it's 37.5%. Therefore 45% reductions is really just 1/1.375≈72.727% from the max level. In this case it doesn't skew the results too badly, but the higher you go, the more it matters. 90%->95% would have 100% increase.

With damage reduction calculation, u need to include EHP or effective hitpoints in your formula. For example, if the gauntlet is at level 9, u have 30% damage reduction, which means a cannon that hits u for 100 DPS would only hit your BK for 70 DPS. If your BK has 10k HP, this means the cannon need to hit the bk 10k/70 = 142 hits to kill the BK, compared to when having 0% damage reduction, where the cannon need to hit the BK for 10k/100 = 100 hits. This means at 30% damage reduction, your BK actually has 42% more EHP or 142% EHP. With that said, here is how it looks like with the giant gauntlet damage reduction: lvl 9 gauntlet, 30% reduction = 142% EHP lvl 18 gauntlet, 45% reduction = 181% EHP lvl 27 gauntlet, 60% reduction = 250% EHP. TL DR; the way damage reduction is calculated actually gives BK better Effective Hitpoints at higher level giant gauntlet

I'm honestly tired of that upgrade loop of the final quarter being more tedious to get that the first 3/4ths i feel like this is a lot with the upgrades now just artificially inflating the grind for some tiny extra stats. I can't blame them i guess i can't think of other solutions that could complement this at the top of my head.

Those prices seem really steep, I do hope they'll get a reduction at some point, or buff the ore rates, half a year to get all the ore to take just 1 gear from lvl 18 to 27 is kind of insane.

Personally I like aiming for power spikes. They usually happen at equipment levels 9,12, 15 and 18. Makes upgrading a lot more manageable than going all out to 18 and not having any other upgrades to play around with.

Before watching the video i'm guessing that because there's more levels the progression is slower, meaning the investment is way bigger but the total value you get is marginally lower than maxing another piece of common equipment instead. Since you can only use 2 pieces at the same time it's still worth it imo.

It is worth it. At some point everyone will have extra equipment rss laying around. You can ration current rss and slowly incoming rss to balance equipments, but maxing the guantlet is worth it.

My predictions for best hero equipment are these: AQ explosive shots / invisibility vial BK giant gauntlet / mighty sword Warden: sun energy scept / rage tome Rc: berserker state / rampage These are just predictions, they have very powerful stats, only the sun energy scept is a mythic equipment, the others are rare / epic equipments All the legendary equipments will sort of suck or have no use, that also means commons will not become obsolete overtime

can you make a video about the suggested lvl of equipment for each th level? i am th 8 right now and i dont think its optimal to max 1 thing at a time, especially when i get the queen, as everything starts at level 1, would it not be better to aim for 2 equipments to get to lvl 10 (example) so both heroes are alot more usefull, instead of having a great king and bad queen, id then have both of them be good

The common equipment is the normal equipment, I.e what the heroes have from the start, and what’s unlocked through the blacksmith

Yo bro I have been watching you for more than a year and I am a th 11 player (in traditional way of playing) so basically I have realized that it will take a lot of time to reach th16 and to enjoy the added stuffs to game so please make a guide video for me to how can I reach th16 fast and my bade,heroes, etc stay powerfull as I am a regular war player And including that I have already decided that no matter what th level I am I will only upgrade my wall to lvl 12 and after my base is fully maxed according to th16 then I am going to start upgradeibg my walls becos yk walls take a lot of time and there are many troops/spells/siege machines which break our wall,jump over our walls etc so like these give me some tips for my journey to th16 as fast as possible and please. Let me save you the trouble, just upgrade giant goblet to lv 18 and work on all other items, once you have everything at lv 18 then start working on the epic upgrades again, also focus on the warden tomes first since they have the most value overall

Heroes get ability upgrades on multiples of 3 Means that queen invisibility get upgrades in duration at 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 In some cases they may be odd multiples of 3 like Giant Gauntlet (3, 9, 15, 21, 27) Warden eternal tomb gets duration upgraded at every level Level 15 is a sweet spot imo or even Level 12 is fine but Warden eternal tomb should be maxed to the blacksmith level those minor upgrades help a lot especially in Town Hall were TH poison is there(TH14 and TH15)

Can I get a list of the best combinations for BK through GW? I feel that supercell is taunting me whenever I see the golden pass. I mean, it's cheap and the amount of ores you get are insane compared to silver. Think maybe it would've just been better if they added the classic upgrade timer back and replace the ores with just the three currencies we already have (Gold, Elixir, Dark Elixir), and I'd be fine with just that. It'll just be another thing you can conveniently buy off the in-game shop and it's even crazier when there's no upgrade time.

The rage gem gets him to move a lot faster and get to the defenses/buildings faster, when his gauntlet is going. I think the rage and gauntlet are the best right now.

although 45% is 75% of 60% its effective hp bonus at level 18 is only 54% of level 27's so your numbers are very misleading it's definitely worth it to try and max out giant gauntlet along with invis vial and eternal tome. Starry ore seems hard to get but you also have to remember that events give a lot of starry/glowy ores and we'll likely get more ways to obtain ores that we want in the future

I think for King the Vampstache & Rage Vial with Pet Spirit Fox will be the best equipment! Cuz it'll let your Kind last long in attacks. Let me know what's your opinion on that?

Nope, spirit fox pairs best with the RC, while the phoenix is best for king. Also giant gauntlet is a must, rage or vamp as second eq

You want your king to tank. If he goes invis, the defenses will target a weaker hero or troop, you don't want that.

what if Archer Queen got "Split Arrows" equipment which allow her to shoot 3 targets at once as the passive skill. How Split Arrows work? If there is only one target in her range, she will shoot 90% damage single arrow. If there are two targets in her range, she will shoot two arrows with 45% damage each. If there are three targets in her range, she will shoot three arrows with 30% damage each. Hero Boosts - DPS 100 and Attack range 20%

I have max th12, max th11, near max th15. I took a break from the game around 5-6months ago, literally haven't opened it or downloaded any updates since because I was just so burnt out on it. I guess I'm wondering if it's worth jumping on now, just as a casual player to max my 15 and maybe get started on the new th16 in a couple months. How do you guys find the energy to start playing again after getting so burnt out (even if it's just to jump on casual)??? I have spent a couple bucks on the game and would hate to see it go to waste but I'm struggling to find the motivation to get back into it.
