If any of y’all didn’t know, Miley’s had a lot of the same band members since she was doing Hannah Montana. That guitarist in the denim shirt has been in her band since day 1. You can see him in her old live videos and even in her music vid for Start All Over (2007/08). It is so sweet to see that he’s been there supporting her this whole time, and in this video he looks at her and has the warmest smile as he keeps playing. How cool that they both performed this when she was only 14 and here they are again performing it laid back country style. ♥️♥️♥️ Makes me emotional!

Yeah she’s definitely going to be very remembered when she passes. I knows that’s dark, but she’s leaving a legacy. She’s an amazing singer. I’m proud and so in love with these musicians these days. Yeah many sing pop tunes, but they can sing. We didn’t miss much from Elvis’ era- we have amazing musicians of our own.

It might just be me, but this version of the song feels so emotional and powerful. Like, after coming so far, spending so many years as a Disney star before breaking free and singing country as she always wanted to, becoming a new, and even better singer and person, she's revisiting her past with her new take on it, like a phenonix rising from... something. When she hits those high notes, nostalgia and respect come flooding through. Amazing job.
