The richest man is he who is happy with what he has. I have means, but my means are a result of work. I work to stay busy because that keeps me happy. As a result I make money doing it. Most rich are not nearly as stuck up as people think, they appreciate hard work and perfection on all levels of society.

I really appreciate all the time, logistics and coordination efforts put into making this video. To have so many renowned owners and other VIP’s share of their lives, intimate moments, and valued time is rare indeed. Awesome video, these super yachts are not only expensive, but cost a lot to maintain. For a plethora of these yachts, I'd estimate you would pay 10% of the MSRP annually just for maintenance.

I'm just barely making it and these guys are building huge yachts. LOVE IT!!! I have never been jealous of someone doing well. I think it's awesome for someone to be able to own something like this.

If I became a Billionaire I would build a Battle Ship, but just as the look because I love war ships, the inside would be modern, not as over the top as some of these but pools, panoramic views, game rooms, a trampoline into the water, maybe a water slide, but anything on the outside/top of the ship would be retractable into the floor because I really like the Battle ship look and Battle ships don’t have all that, but when I want it it should be able to do that. That boat would be awesome!

As someone who’s seen imperial palaces, houses, and royal boats of the old world, these yachts look bare bones in comparison. Hell, the interior of the titanic looks better than 99% of these luxury yachts.

I once saw a mega-yacht. You dont have the imagination to know what it really feels like to see one of the biggest of these driving by your tiny boat youre on for a couple of hours as a tourist.

I've never tried LSD in the past but thanks to this video I don't need to in the future.

I think the most difficult job would be the design and engineering, the foresight you would have to have not only to make it work but in this constant more more more environment they really are amazing feats

You may think it's decadent to spend so much money on luxury. But you have to consider that there are many ordinary people being employed in delivering that lurxury. I think it is more beneficial for society if billionaires "waste" their money rather than letting it grow in hedgefonds.

I admit I have never been aboard a mega yacht but it seems to me luxury is over-riding safety. Although not mentioned, I assume there are watertight compartments, sprinkler systems, auto closing doors, engine room emergency back-ups, etc, etc.

The only time the footage was stable was when it was filmed on the water! lol!

I owned a bar and grill with a bowling alley! A small trucking company with 7 trucks ! 4 secretaries 20 employees all together! 30 rental properties and I’m broke! The bar barely made any money! The rentals paid the mortgage on the bar! The trucking companies profits went back into upgrading the trucks! I don’t know how anyone can get rich? I busted my ass my whole life! The trucking company I own opens at 7 am ,the bar and grill noon! The trucks ended the day around 7 and I would go right to the bar and grill to work until 4am! The weekends I spent the days on the real estate! Fixing houses and renting them out!The bar was slammed Thur thru Sunday! My only time off and to myself was Sunday from 4 until I went to bed! I worked so hard and have barely anything t show for it! Life is so unrewarding and so complicated!

We need people like the first gentleman to build bigger stuff "just because he can". When he passes somebody else will get it for half, than when that person sells or passes, somebody will get it and use it for commercial purpose. Hopefully he builds another... Look at ner york, people spending billions building skyscrapers getting called crazy or what not. Now it has become our most prized possession as a nation.

I could only imagine how cool it would be to be an engineer on a boat like this employed year round. A lot of down time seeing he only uses it 9 weeks a year. But man. Id love to do it for a few years.

We had a 15 year old 18 foot power boat we were out every day the big 40 50 foot half million boats never left the marina they spent all their time cleaning their boat and running from boat to boat with a glass in their hand when one got a bigger boat everyone got one bigger than the other the owner of the marina had to fight with them to pay their dock fee.

It is really wonderful people can live these kinds of lives that most of us can't even imagine and I can imagine a lot. I'd love to be able to, to be quite honest about it but in all the videos I've watched, I don't think I would very much like the company of most of these people. I don't know if it is the wealth that makes them sort of unpleasant or if they were always like this no matter what. I suppose they give only at incredibly wealthy fund raisers which makes you wonder where that money goes. And if someone like old Dougie here ever does anything for anyone much less fortunate. He is after all and equity banker which means he makes more money if you lose money. I've always had dreams of life similar to this but part of me would never NOT do things that are not very expensive if you have that kind of money. Irrespective of how you get, banker, lottery, rich uncle etc, there are so many ways to do good and STILL live a life of luxury. For instance there is a program started in the Bay area where a group of people converted large city buses into portable showers and go to homeless areas where two buses have 8 showers the city allows them to hook up to hydrants. The program managers say one the best thing the homeless love is being able to get clean and have the local laundry do their clothes. I always thought if you can't find homes for them right away converting several buses would be a great way to spend a few hundred thousand for the poor. OR so many other ways to help those less fortunate like homeless vets who went to war to protect your billions and find themselves homeless and in need of help. I'd rather be known for that instead of five gigantic mansions and 50 million dollar yachts. You can still have those but brag about what you are doing rather than how many millions you are going to spend on your next yacht.
