I used to make prisons for the villagers, by transporting them from towns by rail to a mass prison to breed them. Get the classes I needed , and ship them to the farms. Others would be sent to the cells for trading purposes. And the ones that didn’t pass....well... they never left the prison, let’s say... Ohh the days before class changing hahaha. I’m a monster.

@@sfdrake1527 you have to either painstakingly drive a boat with them in it across the entire word or make a railroad which is super cost inefficient. There’s also a way to access a trade with them which will bring them closer to you which you can repeat over and over again till they are at your house but that only works if they have a job/profession

1.16.5 Note (1/26/2021) Just built Farm #2 (the iron farm) and had some frustrations with a villager sometimes popping out of their pod, no longer able to sleep and turning the farm off. After some troubleshooting, I got it to work by placing slabs on both sides of the trapdoor facing the Zombie, and now the villagers are staying in their place. Hope this helps people get this working for themselves!

In 1.16, the iron farm no longer needs the composters, as villagers don't need to work to produce an iron golem anymore

Give him food like a stack of whatever your using and then just wait. The way it works is the farmer has more food and they will share food with the other villager who has less.

Brendan McCandless I agree. Use silentwisperer’s latest iron farm. It’s not really cheap for early game like you can do in Java, but it works very well and 1.16 for bedrock fixes the slow iron golem spawns, do now you get pretty decent rates. I’ve build it twice in separate vanilla survival realms.

quick tip for the iron farm- i found that by making the top platform where the iron golems spawn bigger, it makes the iron golems spawn easier and its not as slow. (remove the walls and replace with a solid block and fill the corners)

steal villagers from a nearby village. I scouted the 1k x 1k area(negative and positive) and found 2 other villages. One was far away (closer to the edge) and 2nd was a continent apart. I build a canal and smuggled 2 villagers from the other village and now i have a village of my own.

Hey Chappy, I love the videos and the builds. I've enjoyed watching the content and subscriber count increase, but could I make a small request or suggestion? Could you please show a finished version of the build prior to building them? Most build products follow the rule of, "finished product first". It does a lot to help us visualize the end goal as you're building it.

you could try using a boat for short distance travel, or maybe a minecraft system for long distance, i have a village about 700 blocks away from my house so i’m making an underground rail system to transport all the villagers

The iron farm is the most compact I've seen, excellent tutorial. In 1.16.3 you have to cover all of the beds with trapdoors and carpets or it breaks. Also, for getting the villagers up there you just need to build a block staircase and they'll pathfind to the beds.

What's so great about the first one, Crop Farm, is you can pretty easily turn it into Auto Villagers Breeding Room, whilst keeping some of the crops if don't get rid off the hopper

Make sure there are platforms above the villagers so lightning won’t strike them. It’s very important, because that would turn them into witches. Witches don’t harvest crops, and zombies don’t scare them.

I’ve seen you place cats 3 different ways on the same farm. On the floor, on a top half trap door, and a bottom half trap door. Does the placement of the cat vertically really make any difference? The kitty’s line of sight is off of its chest when sitting so I figured it didn’t matter but yeah-thoughts?

Does not matter!! Kinda lol What iv found is, If you place it on the floor, when the creepers get scrambling they maaaaay move the cat around. Placing a trap door over it stops this but creepers who spawn RRIIGGHHTT beside the cat wont get scared till they move a block away (The trap door blocks line of sight) So placing the cat ON the trap door.. anywhere.. floor or half way up.... Stop them from moving the cat and still give 100% Line of Sight!

i don't think he mentioned it, but the reason you make the roof of the creeper farm out of trap doors is because they prevent skeletons from spawning, which require a full 2 block clearance to spawn.

Try to give the villagers who you want them to breed beds as the number of the villagers and one more for a baby, if you trapped 2 villagers make them 3 beds 2 for them and 1 for the babies.

Unlike other iron farm tutorials, yours explained the crucial part where villagers need to sleep and the time needs to be a full 2400 ticks before iron golem can spawn

lol they are all so dumb. build a farm with mats you get from creative mode... lmfao just get the end product and save yourself the time! i totally get building stuff in creative mode just to have full freedom but farms are beyond stupid in creative mode.

0:30 for the crop farm 20:08 for the raid farm (Reference for me) For raid farm build it far from home so it doesn’t effect any other farms

Thank for the Tutorial. But i found something out about the raid farm. The farm has to be somewhere where there arent so many obstacles. I made it where there are alot of trees, and the pillagers and etc. cant find there way to me.

Chapman, for the iron farm, once i named my zombie, the villagers no longer produced iron golems. It worked before i named the zombie but not any more. Can this be fixed without removing the zombie?

For the second farm, are there any other requirements to make sure the golems spawn?(height, distance from villages,etc.)

Has to be at least 8+ blocks from the ground. I’d say be around 100+ blocks from any type of village. Although I’m not sure about that. It’s 100+ on bedrock so idk about java.

No spawnable blocks within 8 blocks from the villager and I think you should make sure it can't see other villagers that arent in the farm. I'm not sure about that but I do it just in case

Not sure if I missed it in the comments section, but is the iron farm tileble? If so how far apart do you need to build them? So that you could afk in the middle and have say, 4 going at once
