True. But the difference between diamond and netherite is marginal when nether mining, imo. Both materials still instant mine and diamond only has a bit less durability. You could easily do this with just a set of starter mending diamond.

Best bed method: Mine 10 blocks forward then mine 7 blocks to the left and right and place the bed at the end of each side at head level (so you place two blocks at waist level) then repeat with 10 blocks forwards in your tunnel. Mine and level 14. This method makes it so you don’t explode the flour beneath you and keeps a one blocks barrier between each line of explosions.

Tip: If you decide to chain TNT mine, check with the composter x ray trick first, to make sure you aren’t getting yourself into any huge lava pockets. Plugging up all that lava is extremely tedious. Also, if you see a lot of blocks dripping lava above you, be very careful, you could be under a big lava pocket, or worse, a lava ocean.

@@GOATexp (works best in a cave) go up to a wall. Dig dig a 2 tall hole (so you can fit in). Then dig one down and in that hole place a composter. Get inside the composter, make sure to sink inside the composter. Finally get sand or gravel and let in fall on you by placing it in a block above you. Enjoy. To get out just remove sand and then the composter.

I think counting the veins is the best measurement for how effective these techniques are. You aren't always going to get a vein of 1 same as you won't always get a vein of 3. You can get different amounts depending on your luck even if you get 21 veins every time. Great video!

If you are a bit early game and cant make all that tnt, beds work too just make sure you activate the bed at the farthest distance possible and blast protection is nice to have.

You average about 1.6 ancient debris per chunk. Use the 'chunk ripping' method. It requires a high efficiency diamond pickaxe and wields the most ancient debris per go. Have blocks in your inventory ready to block out lava if it happens. Every time you find ancient debris, check up to 2 blocks next to it for additional ancient debris.

Tbh beds prob best as it’s easiest to make, and doesn’t take s lot of effort. TNT could do if you made a mob farm but creepers aren’t the most common enemy.

Fun fact, the chunk-ripping (and exploding) methods can be improved by noticing that most ancient debris generate withing 3 blocks of the chunk border. Checking the center of the chunk is actually kind of a waste of time.

Chap a single piece of fire prot is enough if you get 2 you just get diminishing returns and also after doing calculation you at the best get the same protection from explosion and fire as a full normal prot 4 armour set

I did some mining and spent 3 hours to empty at y=14 90 chunks to study how netherite is set : On the 90 chunks, 33 were containing netherite with 24 of them with the 2x3 mining technique from the chunk border. I have to clarify the fact that you CAN find netherite on a side chunk but i only found 1 chunk with 2 veins. So basically the chunk technique is the more efficient but you can just go to the next chunk if you just found a netherite vein to gain some time.

For all those on bedrock who cant see chunk borders (like me) I have an idea that could help. If ur on a crossplay smp ask someone on java for one border coords and by adding or taking away 16 enough times u can find one anywhere. If ur on a singleplayer world its harder especially if ur using a keyboard but what I would do is build an ice highway and try and outrun the chunk loader, them just write down the coords for where it ends, repeat on the other axis and there ya go.

I use the bed method all the time and I get everything I need in about 1hour of mining. I just set up a quick afk wool farm then I'm set. It's not hard to do the bed strat while not even wearing armor sometimes

Having duplicates of the specialty prot enchants doesnt add anything, the most effective enchants are just regular prot IV on everything. You can specialise in one if you are especially susceptible to fire etc, but two fire prots doesnt do any more than 1.

A single Fire pro 4gives you 8 levels of fire resistance. A 2nd gives 16. And a 3rd would give you 20 because cap is 20. While full protection would give you 16 fire resistance.

@@coluix ? he is correct, each piece of amor with fire prot IV gives 8 fire resistance, 4 pieces gives 20 that is the reason for using 3 pieces of protection environmental (that gives 4 fire/blast/proj resistance per piece), that gives 12 fire/blast/proj resistance, the 4th piece can be fire/blast/proj protection that gives 8 fire/blast/proj resistance, totalizing 20 fire/blast/proj resistance in this way you don't reach the maximum of 20 (3 pieces of fire/blast/proj protection gives 24, the 4th is useless), and you don't sacrifice too many environmental points projectile protection will be used few times, fire protection is useless when you are under potion effects so, 3 of protection environmental and 1 of blast protection is the best choice (you can carry one extra piece of amor with protection environmental and switch by circumstances) sorry for my english

I think y13 is best. Seems to be a good sweet spot as the premise is that they spawn relatively best between y15 and diamond level y11 and explosives will reach both of these levels from y13 easily.

I find just as much going y7 use fire protection potions, because who wouldn't when farming for ancient derbies in the nether, and farm a 2 high tunnel in a straight line until potion runs out, I get 8 to 12 doing this each strip I do, that's 8 to 12 every 8 mins, these methods seem abit meh tbh

Thing is that when someone has the whole “noob, pro, hacker” type of thumbnail, they usually are pretty scummy and havent got the faintest clue what they are doing. If you have a wool farm and a decent forest around you, bed will be the most efficient because the cost is way less than the gain, especially when your wool warm is automatic

What is special about the chunk border? Why would that be better than, say, ripping on the chunk boundary across 2 chunks? Does the game have any adjacency rules concerning ancient debris vs non-ancient debris chunks?

Just copy your survival world and turn on creative mode on that survival world and then go to the nether and use beds, once you find one, just write the coords down Hope this makes sense

end crystals have a bigger exploding scale and leave no fire behind. so if you you have a ghast farm or infinite end crystals try to mine with that (btw use a bow)

Full protection 4 will do the same protection over blast and fire damage than 2 pieces of it. And it does additional protecting against projectiles and mele attacks...

I think your tnt mining technique could use some improvement, I always just dig a really long tunnel and place TNT blocks every 4 blocks all the way back to the start of the tunnel and it seams to work great

You can speed up lava by using a bucket. Pick up the lava and keep putting it down on the same spot. You can reduce 20 lava to 1 lava in under 60 seconds. I prefer digging along chunk lines and then starting at the end of the tunnel, I put beds and keep backing up. A big problem to day is they have added a lot more lava to the lower nether including some columns of lava all the way to bedrock that are almost a full chunk in size. (you can see them in spectator mode). I think they may only be in nether wastes.

Chap do you know how blast and fire prit work? Having 2 fire protections is like having one fire protection armor piece and an unenchanted armor same with blast brot, you are doing this incorrectly. 2 fire prot4s don’t stack fire prot except regular protection

There is a method I've heard absolutely no one talk about and that is going to Y=15 and mining out the chunk borders. It is one of the fastest and most efficient ways of getting ancient debris. (You can turn on chunk borders by pressing F3 + G)

Actually you don't need blast protection armor the way tnt damage works is by calculating the distance of your characters feet so if you put a block infront of you, You song take much damage at all

You must have some weird generation booster because I've tried brute force multiple times for 30 minutes yesterday and today and only averaged around 9 - 12 debris. I make the tunnels 4 long and 2 high

that’s now how you mine for netherite, you want to strip mine for as long as possible (until you run into lava that you don’t feel like blocking off pretty much) then you go back down walking sideways either side and you you’ll get about 4-5 blocks in either direction. i’ve tested it and it’s much much better than bed mining and for sure better than mining this weird 2x3 hole on a 30 minute timer for whatever reason

Tip: carry 5 fire resistance potions, mainly the 8 minute ones

tip: use iron pickaxes for netherack and your diamond or netherite pickaxe to mine debris that way your pickaxe wont break fast because your using iron pickaxes. make sure to set up 4 furnaces with coal and ALOT of chests for storage. make sure to bring fire resistance and healing, if your not in peacful mode bring strength potions too. your gonna need many pickaxes so bring 32 iron blocks if possible. least amount of blocks is 10 for iron, only take your weapon and diamond or netherite pickaxe to get the debris, iron pickaxes for netherrack mining, torches, potions of strength, fire resistance, regeneration, cobblestone, coal, iron blocks, torches, brewing stand, blaze powder for potions and potion ingredients. when mining just have the weapon, pickaxes, torches, potions and blocks. enjoy the tip! DONT FORGOT FOOD IF YOUR NOT IN PEACFUL MODE LIKE ME BTW

I have my method: I go at Y 15 and dig up the whole chunk, since there is a determined amount of mineral in every chunk. And finding netherite it's Almost guaranteed every time you do it. I've done some calculation, the average in a half an hour it's almost half a stack, you could mine with diamond efficiency 5 two whole chunks with around 3-5 netherite each.... The advantage is that u get all of the possible netherite in the chunk layer 8 to 22
