I'm an AG from '86 and in 37 years have had few seasons to really crow over. For so long, we could have a losing season but still be satisfied if we beat t.u....These million dollar coaches aren't worth 7-5 seasons...

​@@toAdmiller I've been a die hard A&M fan since 1979, and I think that Jimbo has something going on. I see what he is trying to do, and I totally agree. However, we need to give him time. NO, 5 to 6 seasons isn't enough to turn a whole program that has NEVER really been good enough to "be" the best since the 19 freaking 30s. Switching coaches every 5, 6, or even 7 years WILL NEVER get A&M to be a championship team. It might have worked for Bama, but A&M has NEVER been Bama. WE need a coach who is familiars with the players, the program, AND the culture of A&M football. We need to have a coach who will CHANGE that culture to a championship culture. You can't expect that to happen in 2 to 3 freaking years FOR Texas A&M. We are going to have to be a little more patient with our coaches, and let them figure it out. If A&M is STUPID enough to fire Jimbo, after this season, I'm willing to bet that it's just going to be the same ol', "Well golly! We were great this season. Just not good enough to even play in the playoffs for the National Championship." And this will continue for the next 50 years since A&M's inpatient fans want to see a national championship as soon as a new coach steps on campus. I'm hoping that we give Jimbo some time to get those players who are good, but 'just not good enough', weeded off of the team and get them replaced by players who WILL get the job done. In my opinion, it's not always the coaches who need to be weeded off the team. Sometimes, it's the same, generational 'good but just can't make the plays when it matters' players who need to be weeded off the team. I'm thinking that this QB that played in this game may actually be better than the two injured QBs that we have. After another off season program, I'm thinking that he's going to be DANGEROUS with his mobility and scrambling skills. If he can just add some touch to his passing skills during the offseason,......Of course, this was done against garbage Mississippi St., but still,.....This 'could' mean something..

Yea I was confused about that too. I've been wondering if maybe Jimbo was forced out in this game and Petrino and assistants took it over as a test and when we blew them out without jimbo they decided it was time for him to go.

You really don’t see it do you? It’s not about what the head coach is/does, it’s about the culture he builds and the pieces he picks to be around him. Jimbo has proven he cannot make the correct staff decisions at key coaching positions and as a result parts of the team are always underperforming for the recruits that we get. Combine that with a conservative coaching philosophy that always causes A&M to be just within reach of big games but can hardly ever get there and you’ve got a recipe for mediocrity and disappointment. He’s simply not cutting it and he has to go, he’s had plenty of time to build a championship team. FSU has already done it in 2 years and jimbo can’t do it in 6.

@@willtaylor6793 So, you are saying that you want to go back to Kevin Sumlin with his high flying offense? I really wasn't a fan of getting rid of Sumlin, either. However, it was for the same purpose. Yet, we fired him, anyway. With that being said, Jimbo has actually won a National title. Kevin has not. Don't get me wrong, Kevin DID help put A&M on the map in the SEC. However, if you compare Kevin's seasons to Jimbo's seasons, Jimbo destroys Kevin. Also, Jimbo was willing to get past his pride and hire an offensive coordinator. That has to say something. A&M HAS done better this season than last season with their offense. We DO have a good shot at going 9 & 4. This shows a projection of positives moves by Jimbo whether you want to believe it or not. In my opinion, it is YOU who don't see it. The weak, football culture was already there before Jimbo got there. What you don't see is that Jimbo was able to win a National championship with Florida State AND he had only one bad year with Florida State. The rest were pretty decent seasons with most of them being at least a 10 win season. Yet, when he comes to Texas A&M, he has not faired so well. That should tell you one thing. It isn't Jimbo that's the problem. It's our weak culture that we need DESTOYED and replaced as soon as possible. The culture he is TRYING to bring into A&M hasn't sunk into the players, yet. It's the garbage, weak, "I quit" football culture of A&M, NOT Jimbo's culture that's the problem. However, I believe that he can fix it....if the weak, "I'm a quitter" A&M fans and weak A&M staff will just allow it...

I don't know about that...Kirby Smart took UGA to a national championship game his second year and was close the next three until winning the last two. Nick Saban won a national championship in his third year at Alabama and you know the rest. Coaches like that are hard to find, but Jimbo is a known commodity and certainly isn't a winner.
