Hey Arun, regarding Numberphile's 301 vid at 5:07, the host, Brady Haran, actually explained what was going on with this on his and CGP Grey's podcast "Hello Internet". It's not so much a mystery but rather UKposts playfully going along with the theme. He was manually contacted by UKposts asking permission if they could stop the counter at 301 to add to the experience of the video while he will have access to the real view count 🙂

At 7:00, UKposts stopped giving out the 50 million custom awards because there are way too many channels hitting 50 million these days. The MrBeast award as well as the Dude Perfect award you used in the video isn't from UKposts, they were 3D printed by Daniel Krafft and gifted to them.

Another fun fact: yt's age restrictions used to be a warning instead of not allowing underage accounts or others on indigo mode to watch them, they still use the warning, but only in a video that are extremely inappropriate offense according to their guidelines, and instead of using the same warning for videos of suicide or self harm like in the past, they gave them a special warning Edit: LMFAOOO I MENT INCOGNITO MODE-

I'll never forgive YT for dropping annotations. Not only did it make it impossible to update viewers of a popular video with new / changed info and updates but it killed off the entire "choose your own adventure" video genre with no good alternative. Bring. It. Back.

I mean Markiplier was able to pull off the "Choose your own adventure" type fine without em. Also, there was a good reason. It was totally abused for many wrong reasons you can find with a quick online search and Instead of annotations, UKposts wants creators to embrace end screens and cards. Not only do they look a lot more professional, but by default they work on mobile devices. Cards can be used to point viewers to a website, show image overlays, titles, or even to embed a poll for viewers to respond to.

3:48 I agree with this, but i also miss the stars/dislike counter. It makes it way easier to sort out scams/misinformation without having to scroll through the comments. as far as i know, yts algorithm rewards any interaction, whether that is a like or a dislike, a positive or a negative comment. Even if hundreds of thousands of people dislike a video, yt will just see this as hundreds of thousands of interactions and view it as popular and promote it further. If we cant see a bad rating or dislike ratio, its way harder for consumers to tell if something is real

Hey, really cool video as usual, but I just wanted to precise, at 6:59, the play button displayed for 50M were not made by UKposts, except for the PewDiePie's one. They were actually made and sent by a UKpostsr named DanielKraft. He did that especially because UKposts decided not to make one anymore for the 50M sub mark.

Another thing about UKposts is the paid for feature that lets you continue to listen to videos after you lock your phone used to be standard, UKposts used to just do that before they had any kind of paid features

4:27 I *REALLY* recommend a browser addon "Annotations Restored for UKposts" - it does one simple thing - re-add annotations to videos that originally had them (before youtube dropped them, there was a massive effort to back up all of the annotations, and a very very big majority, even on less popular videos is backed up) This is a must when watching older videos, especially the interactive ones where you could make choices by clicking annotations in video. (and also corrections ppl added to their videos like he said in the video)

UKposts's Max speed is 4. You need to be on pc or just mobile You gotta go to setting speed settings to the number 2 and then if your on pc click on the video screen if you are on mobile you just tap-holding on the screen

Hey, doubt ur gonna find this,but if u put a hyphen in between the T and the second U in the youtube link at the top. It will take the youtube video to another link and play with no ads. Helps when u want music and keep hearing ads. You can also make a queue so you dont have to open up each tab.

6:55 I’m pretty sure those 50mil play buttons were custom made by a UKpostsr, who wasn’t working with UKposts (I’m not sure tough)

Yes it wasn't made by UKposts. UKposts stopped doing these after the PewDiePie's button. The other two (for Mr Beast and Dude Perfect) were made by a UKpostsr Daniel Krafft
