I think they mostly do. The SCOTUS is mostly conservative-appointed but they've ruled against Trump 20 times or more already, only gave him a very small partial win one time. The justice that went on CNN yesterday and spoke about judicial death threats was appointed by Reagan and GW.

It’s funny, I became a huge fan of Liz Cheney after watching the Jan 6 hearings. Policy is not at issue in this presidential election. Character and integrity are. Liz cared more about democracy and oath to the constitution than getting re-elected/career in politics, and because of this, I hold high regard for her. Vote Blue!! We need to encourage every one to volunteer knocking on doors or speaking up even when they hear disinformation being spread anywhere…the break room at work, the locker room at the gym, in church, at the easter egg hunt, local athletic games on the bleachers, etc. Obviously, many ppl avoid politics and religious discussions, this is not politics as usual…❤

I, an individual citizen, can easily see that the past President has been given delay after delay rather than be held to task and a standard that any other human being with so many indictments would be held to. And yet the courts allow him to delay at the cost of putting our democracy at risk again and again. Honestly, I have lost so much respect for the court system in general. Any other human being would be in jail for putting judges and court personnel at risk over and over again. Presidential Immunity should never have been this artificial stumbling block that it has been. It is not to give the President a get out of jail free card if he or she breaks a criminal law. It's more like they go overboard on a law and and maybe there is undesirable environmental consequences, well then they would be protected from this Presidential action from any criminal liability. Enough time wasted on this by the courts, except for the Wise earlier ruling. Supreme Court better get on the stick, or our country will lose all respect for them.

She lost her primary election due to the lack of an informed electorate. In bygone days people would spend their winter evenings reading, and newspapers were subscribed to by nearly every household. Summer evenings were spent discussing Policy and how it affects us and brainstorming how to do things better. In those times a person simply wasn't considered informed without that daily newspaper. It'd be great if we actually read a Newspaper digitally nowadays, but most of us don't. Now it's TV or TikTok everywhere and no more reading. A truly informed voter reads 1 nonfiction book every other week.

I don't know if anything other than the tax thing that no one cared about for 50 years has been a crime that he was convicted of. Remember you can change anyone with a crime, but you still have to prove it. Saying that x equals y, means ZERO. So, what has he been found criminally guilty of that would keep a person from running for public office? Criminal, not civil.

The case from the DOJ should have immediately followed the Impeachment Trial. If a few more Republicans had the guts to vote on a conviction our country wouldn't be in this evil fantasy that we see ourselves in. No self respecting Democrat would have thought that it was possible for a criminal like Trump who has absolutely no respect for the law when it comes to anything he does could become our President again. We are an insane country. How decent human beings functioning in day to day activities can be so blind to the truth of what Trump did in all his actions to make Jan 06 happen and all he has done since to show his approval of that day, is completely bewildering. Many Trump fans just say what he said that day such as: walk peaceably down to the Capitol, but that was only a small part of his rhetoric and one has to take all of his speech and the others that day into account who mimicked him. But the speech was only a small reason why Trump is guilty on Jan 06. Before, during and after, guilty as sin.

Firstly, in relation to the gag orders from Judge Engoron - he kept breaking the rules of court by bad-mouthing court staff after the orders. Then he continues to bad mouth everyone involved with each and every case, thinking that will either end the case or get others to intimidate people FOR HIM. He has had a 50% reduction in the money bond for the fraud trial too, which most people would NOT get. He always benefits from the best treatment because he intimidates people with threats and veiled threats all the time. A lot of people are scared of him because he acts like a gangster instead of a politician. It's obvious!

The Justices that caused the delay violated their oath of office by giving aid and comfort to Trump's ongoing insurrection. Perhaps Congress can pass legislation to remove them from the court based on the 14th amendment, if Democrats have majorities and the Senate gets rid of the filibuster.
