Joan Flores not everyone has the “hype” style of performing. playing like this creates more exposure on his voice, and you can hear how pure it is with just the guitar. i doubt some of the people that like to perform loud with lots of music and dances and extra stuff actually sing. nobody cares if you think he’s boring, he’s just a great singer.

And THIS is why I love Ed Sheeran. He doesn’t need everyone else to play with him. And we don’t need the drums and the base and the pianos, etc to just enjoy the song. And I love how pure this performance is. It’s just him. Singing to the crowd. And the crowd singing back. This is perfection.

Part of it's terrific appeal is it's just plain sweet and innocent and he looks happy, you can hear that smile. It's a tremendous thrill to have hundreds or thousands singing with you - and singing a gift You gave them. It's a Tribute from the audience to him. There's no pretense. It's all out there, it's called 'joy'.

And then there's also nothing special about him singing live in each and every one of his concerts, whether it's him and the guitar, like now, or him, the guitar and the loop pedals, just like there's nothing special about Justin Beaver "singing" while puking onstage :)
