I can't say I like fish either. But I can say that I really like the combination of pumpkin and apple. The first pumpkin pie recipes from hundreds of years ago actually combined pumpkin with apple and it's an excellent pairing.

Apfelstrudel, however delightful is not Croatian. It's Hungarian and so is Gulash. Blaim the Ottomans and Austro-Hungarians for stirring that delightful cultural mess of a soup.(to keep it within gastronomy)
