80g Cooked Ham
125g Mushrooms
25g Plain Flour
30g Butter
100g Onion
300g Chicken Stock
Sprig of Thyme
or 1/2 tsp Dried Thyme

Hello Mr. Paul! Yes, we call swede rutagaga across the pond. I think the name comes from an old Swedish dialect. I had no idea what you would come up with using Thursday's four ingredients but of course you came up with something delicious!! Have a good week.

Those sardines look amazing! I do like a bit of hake too when I can find it. Fish is brain food so this is a good food week 😋

Oh Mr Paul….my parents are in their early 80s…. And they are as feisty as you! They never go out to eat, because my mom is such a wonderful cook ❤️ thank you my dear, as always, for sharing this with us. Much love 💕

Ps, you are looking positively spiffy my sweet friend 🔥 and lowkey… the entertainer has a warm place in my heart…. When I was little, my dad was a radio DJ, and he used to play the entertainer for me 💕

Thank you Mr Paul. I really enjoy your videos and I think I'm going to have a stab at the hake with spinach, it looked so good. I also quite fancy the chicken and ham pillows with mashed swede as a change from potatoes as well. Keep well Mr Paul and thank you again.

You've given so many options this week Mr Paul..... all very enticing. My fav is the fish and chips - I'm Australian so as the Brits we love our Fish n Chips on a Friday night so I will make that this Friday. Thanks again for your suggestions have a lovely and joyful week.

Lovely meals, Mr. Paul. I made your apple crumble today and used ground cloves, as you suggested for this recipe. Cinnamon is my usual go to spice, but golly-heck, the ground cloves took this dessert to another level. Thank you Mr. Paul, your recipes are great. Take care of yourself.

Dearest Mr Paul, thank you for sharing your meals and GREAT IDEAS for cooking! I deeply appreciate you taking the time out of your day. I am praying for your health, and that you will feel better soon. I am rrcovering from double broken arms and 4 broken ribs. I am starting to cook again, but lifting a pan to or from the oven or off the stove is a huge challenge but it will get better. You mentioned 2 things that would be an equivalent from spain or England, and you are RIGHT ON BOTH COUNTS!!🎉🎉 I hope ou have a lovely week with Mrs Paul and your Pups.

I always get some different ideas from your vlogs, I cook from scratch for my family and it's easy to get in a rut with meals so I always enjoy seeing what you have to inspire me for the coming week, totally trying the sautéed onions and tomatoes, the pan fried chicken thigh looked so delicious I was drooling, thanks for sharing and please keep them coming, your meals are rescuing mid week slump menus everywhere ;) have a good week.

Lovely set of meals, Mr Paul. Looking at my fridge/ freezer, this week's going to be fish heavy for me. Funny how that happens sometimes. Hope you're well? You're meal for today reminds me I have lamb leg fillets in my freezer too so I'll probably do as you did

My friend in Portugal told me they can only buy White or Red potatoes. I find that very strange these days, you need to know the variety so you know how you can cook them. I got some Charlotte seed potatoes this year... shhh... before they went on sale. I planted them a couple of week ago and they are just peeping out of the soil now. I've not been able to buy Charlottes from a supermarket in the UK for over 2 years. I also love Swede, especially mashed with carrot.

Hi I prefer the swede mashed with a little potato. As for your friend in Portugal, they are not correct, under EU law the variety must be stated, if pre-packed on the package or at point of sale.

I use independent butchers shops, however, those particular ones came from Mercadona.
