I have one just like it but in 357 magnum. Great pistol but not big enough for bears. I sometimes wish I had the 44 instead when in the bush

NICE! I have a S&W 460 mag that uses a 300 grain hollow point I take camping. My holster is similar but yours looks a lot more comfortable. I'll have to check out Diamond D Outdoors for sure. At least you know your safe regardless where you are! Congrats on the new pistol!

Those are really great for bear defense, great choice!

My favorite Ruger, if your life is on the line, practice quick loading, never spin the cylinder, adds to premature wear, have had the eject tube blow off, the front frame screw on those need loctite, awkward when the ejector housing fries off, done firing til fixed...little locktite will fix the issue, save a life...blew the ejector rod 10 feet at the range.

Nice. I have the same pistol and it's a great gun. I use 320 gr. solid slugs when using it for bear protection. but I only had to practice one shot to find out that you only shoot those when absolutely necessary because they KICK LIKE A MULE!

Awesome pistol, but you should consider the Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan, chambered in 454 CASULL. The 454 CASULL round has almost TWICE the muzzle energy of a 44 magnum! The 44 magnum has about 1000 ft-lbs of energy at the muzzle, while the 454 CASULL has up to 1900 ft-lbs of energy at the muzzle. Of course you could just go for the most powerful handgun, the Smith and Wesson 500 magnum, which has 2500 ft-lbs of energy at the muzzle. Sasquatch can weigh over 1000 lbs, so you need all the power you can get!

Have you done the springs on it? They will make the trigger phenomenal. We have the same and a Bisley version with a slightly shorter barrel. The 300 grain hard cast from Buffalo Bore or load your own with Beartooth Bullets (or your own hard cast) are lovely and will probably work better on bear than your hollow points.

If you can get them up there try hard cast bullets for better penatration
