Back in ´22 we used to pay, thx to our Green Party, $9.73 / gallon for diesel and $8,35 for gasoline. Insane. Thankfully we are back at California prices now lol Cheers from Sweden

From upstate NY, people here in general do not like the idea of electric vehicles. We have a lot of snow and long winters. Very limited charging infrastructure. I do see Teslas driving around but they're very rare. Most people drive big trucks... We know how batteries normally do in the cold, and we just don't want to be stranded.

6:58 LOL, great line!, but I saw lots of gas stations in the week was was in southern CA last February. There were more gas stations than Tesla supercharging stations by over an order of magnitude, and some of the supercharging stations were hidden a little (like in a parking deck), so on balance, were it not for my car knowing where all of the chargers were, I might have had problems finding them, too, but it has that built into the navigation. I bet your ICE rental had something similar and could have located some pumps for you....maybe I'm assuming too much?

I may need an appointment when he returns back to Tennessee. My 2005 Ford Expedition Base model dash doesn’t lit up at night. I checked fuses and wires, everything is fine.

The clusters in all early 2000 ford's have issues. Worked at ford years. Could be something simple but my guess is your ICP gonna be replaced or rebuilt by ebay or tanning. Good luck

I agree with you Scotty about California. I live here and there's a real ding dong in Sacramento pushing the buttons. He wants everything electric. As if we can count on PG&E to deliver to right? Everyone is buying electic mowers, weed wackers, hedge clippers cars and pickups. Why? Cuz its the craz. To me it's just balony! I just sold my diesel pickup last year and bought a gas pickup. I get about .8 of a gallon less mph around town than a newer diesel pickup like mine. I got high milage...but the truck still runs strong. Keep up the great videos...I'm a fan of yours...

I work on Aquidneck island and will be driving up and down it almost every day of the week. You'll see no shortage of Tesla's, especially in Newport. However I've yet to find a supercharger. Tesla's litter this island just as much as Range Rovers, BMWs, Mercedes and Corvettes. I hope to set something up when I find a used car this summer that's not insanely overpriced. I am still watching dealerships burn down after tax season and then I will contact you. Welcome back to RI!

To be honest, my electric yard tools have done the job and I enjoy the ease of use and quiet operation. I only have a few acres and I imagine if you have a larger property there may be some issues.

The noise is a huge factor for me. I had a small electric push mower for my parents small yard. You could barely hear it unless you were within about 15 feet. Some of these electric AI mowers can go at 5am and the neighbors don't even know it's running.

@@jojag5 Yep...just used mine yesterday. I think the noise difference is even more dramatic with my chainsaw and weed-whac....I mean, "string trimmer". Either of those, when gas-powered, are annoyances for anyone with 1/4 mile but you mostly just hear a "whirrrrrr" with the electrics.

Scotty usually doesnt answer these comments but I have a 2005 Scion Tc . Since you have a 2006 , its the Good 2.4 liter motor . I had a 2007 Tc , but that year was an oil buring year and it used a little oil . Ive owned a couple Scion Tc s and the one thing to watch for if you live in the Rust Belt ( Which you DONT ) , is the Subframe under the Rack and Pinion rusting out . Ive seen several up here do it. Your Scion is built by toyota so if you keep your oil changed and maintain everything , it should last you a long time .

Why you'd expect to see electric car in the interstates? They're perfect as in town second cars where you save on gas since ICE cars consume much more. I have a 2016 kia soul ev which I go to work and back everyday and use it on weekends and I only charge at home at 80%. I've put 180k/km and I've had zero problems with it.

There is a rattling noise in the dash of my 1999 Toyota Tacoma. How is the auto Noise detector going to help me? I think some fasteners are loose. That said, I don't think the dash has ever been loosened or taken off. I don't like the noise though. I'd have to watch a video to see how such a device is used.

If your trolling motor holds 40 amps and when it's running it will only last 5 hours to completely dead if it is a 200 amp battery. I have a 1,000 amp battery plenty of power

This is the end of April, 2024. Out here in LA area, I cannot find gas cheaper than 4.97 anywhere in the San Gabriel Valley. Now, I do not have a Costco membership and therefore I don't know what they are charging. Normally, Costco has the cheapest gas. Paying for a $60 membership fee, I can fill up all year and, thus, recoup that fee, and then some.

@Scotty, We New Yorkers have been trying to change that Bridges name back to the Tappan Zee Bridge ever since they put Cuomo's name on it! He didn't pay for any part of it and most of us still call it by it's original name! Funny that you took it since Sniffy Joe had schools closed due to the traffic caused by his fund raiser at Michael Douglas's mansion in Irvington, NY yesterday! Hope you didn't take 87 all the way down to 95. That's the high traffic way to RI. My daughter lives in CT and visit,s RI on long weekends. 84 is usually better than 95 for traffic. Saw Mill Parkway from the other side of the bridge leads you right to it.
