NATO stepping in would only make things worse for Ukraine. If Putin decides to go nuclear, I guarantee Ukraine will be the first place to be hit. It would kill every man woman and child in the blast radius and would turn them all to into ash. Nuclear genocide. At least for now, the fighting is contained and conventional. If that were to change then of course, NATO would deploy. But if we are seen to be the ones to escalate, that will play right into Putin's plan. Because then, we look like the aggressors and he will use it as an excuse to go nuclear. NATO stepping in would mark the beginning of the third world war. We can't just go in guns blazing.
