My uncle gone missing last Friday, today we got a message that had sneaked off to Ukraine (My father's family was Russian-Ukrainian descent) to fight the Belarusians and Russians. I don't know whether I should be worried or be proud of him. But I respected his decision. Edit 4 March 2022: He was detained by Ukrainian authorities for illegal entry from Polish border and also being suspected as a Russian saboteur. He was released 8:00 AM this morning and was last contacted heading to the city of Rivno and potentially Kyiv next. We also lost contact with him after the call.

Being from a russian bordering NATO country all the support for Ukraine is really surprising me. I've often wondered how big the popular support from western EU would be in case of war, seeing all the news in the past few days of western world coming together to fight for freedom of another country is fantastic.
