As an old guy, I have seen nearly all of these dunk contests in the years that they were done. I have to say the 1988 Jordan vs Domonique was the most entertaining as it went back and forth and you really didn't know who was going to win. The Vince Carter dunks were the most exciting as the dunk contest was getting boring/routine in the previous years and he re-vitalized it with original dunks. As for the "best" and coolest dunks, I actually think they were done by Aaron Gordon, still cant believe he never won!?!

Gordon’s dunk over the mascot, J-Rich’s between the legs from behind the backboard and Iguodala’s dunk behind the board are the best by far. Not only are they espectacular and difficult, they are dangerous.

All judges should be required to watch this before the Dunk Contest, so they know what a 50 looks like. I like how pure most of the dunks were, with no props or extra people. They could improvise in the air. It was about power, grace, difficulty, and style
