Figueroa is as tough as nails he could of boxed more but decided to bring the fight straight to Nery and eventually broke him down fatigue was setting in and that perfectly place uppercut to the body ended Nery's night. Big win for Figueroa specially doing it with a huge statement. Fulton has a tough task on his hands in September.

Watched this fight live, and I have always been a fan of Figueroa, but this fight just made me like the kid even more. Kids got soo much heart. Anyone watching this fight knows that Nery was Landing much bigger shots early on in the fight. Figueroa just kept going to the body, leaning on Nery, just breaking him down slowly. Figueroa has no off switch. The kids insane. has a hell of a chin too. kudos to him, and also kudos to Nery for making a really good fight. Both trading in the pocket. There was a few low blows by both guys, some low punches, also some hitting behind the head but overall a pretty clean fight, just happen showtime didn’t get the chance to give us a crooked decision.
