I thought the whole point was to eventually go completely wireless. We normally charge wirelessly or via MagSafe, in fact my iPhone has never been plugged into anything. As for data transfer, at this point iCloud seems sufficient thus far… We have an iPad Pro that has thus far been charged exclusively through the Magic Keyboard Case… 🤔

I really hope the regular AirPods don't get silicon ear tips. My ears get itchy after just a few minutes on my AirPods Pro 2's and the foam replacement tips are no where near as comfortable.

Same. I like that regular AirPods don’t have ANC. I wear them in situations where I don’t need it. I bought pros for flying, the subway and working in noisy locations. Not for doing stuff around the house or working out.

I want to know when they’ll add a 4D feature. That’s a great feature to have on AirPods, especially if you’re using them in a workspace.

I recently purchased new AirPods Pro’s and have been pretty pleased with them. I don’t really purchase any new ones until they can only hold a charge for about 10 mins, but hopefully they have new features by the time I upgrade.

Just FYI - I always hated silicon tips - but the Airpods Pro are 'vented' which makes a massive difference - what it means is that there isn't that 'suction / compression' feeling with every other earphones I've ever used. They are the only silicon earphones I've ever enjoyed using. Either way it's worth looking at as from my experience I was totally against it till I bought them.

FYI AirPods version 1 had a range of 400+ feet outdoors during daylight. I Doubt the new ones will beat that. I haven't tested version 3 yet for distance, even though I've had them for years.

Out of curiosity have you used the Pro's? I ask this because I hate silicon tips - until I used the pros and the main reason is that they are vented so you don't get the air compression feeling.

I like the stems. It adds battery life and user interface. I wouldn’t upgrade to a stemless design.

I dont think the stems add to battery life. Typically when buds go stemless, the body is bigger and can go upwards, adding more than enough space for the battery. Just different design choices. That said, I do like the stems myself. I think it makes them easier to use and put in your ears.

@@AppleInsiderdon’t the batteries run the length inside the stem? I understand that the bodies would get larger with a stemless design and I’m not a fan of that style which Google and Raycon use. I wear my AirPods inside my helmet . That being said the smaller protrusion allows this kind of usefulness.

@@RadDadisRad Yes, the batteries are in the stem. LIke I said they just get moved in the stemless design and it doesn't really change the overall battery life. But I know what you mean about keeping them small.

I love my AirPods Max, but after time the mesh netting at the top wears out and gets loose, so now they are not as comfortable to wear for long periods of time! 😔

AirPods could be used as a hearing aid since it first launched you just need to turn it on in the settings

No that's not true - the hearing aid component comes from the phone - the microphone on the airpods are used as a transparency component but the main input is the phone itself. Additionally, the microphone is not properly calibrated as a hearing aid - it amplifies many background sounds that a hearing aid shouldn't, regardless of settings. Having the Airpods themselves be hearing aids and software calibrated to be a hearing device, is a massive deal - given how expensive good hearing aids are.

I actually had the AirPods 2 for about a little over a year. Then I thought the Pro’s would be more of an improvement. While audio wise it is, but my left ear could never find the right fit with the ear tip. Always felt it was going to drop out. I ended up selling it and going back to my AirPods 2. They feel significantly more comfortable in both ears.

Not really, the main reason why AirPods Max aren’t as good as they can be is because of the weight. Making it titanium would make the problem worse, which would also make them even more uncomfortable. Sony xm4 or xm5 are great cheaper alternatives that weigh way less and are way more comfortable

I'm very happy with my airpods 2. I have used the pro and they are so uncomfortable. The rubber seal acts like suction cups and it feels like the airpods is going to pull out my inner ear drums.

I wish the max pros came out on March 😢 I was planning on getting the OLED 13” along with the max pros. I need to upgrade my iPad Pro 11”. Planning to give that to my wife and then get me the 13”. I got no max pros but AirPods do not help when your traveling on car or plane. The sound around you is annoying and it’s all up in your ears it starts getting uncomfortable.

I would prefer Apple to keep the Gen 1/2 form factor but update with new features. For me, the Gen 3 and both Pro models are extremely uncomfortable and cause blistering in my ears.

I prefer the sound of AirPods 3 to AirPods Pro 2 - particularly in the high end, and ANC doesn’t matter much to me. I also don’t see how ANC can exist with silicone ear tips, and that’s fine with me. I don’t want in-ears.

My Air Pods Pro Gen 1 have been the best headphones I’ve ever owned. Best sounding? No. But for convenience, comfort, and features hands down best experience I’ve had. What would make it a PERFECT product for me is better Find My abilities. It’s there, but it’s not great and hardly ever gets me very close to them even in tests where I knew where I left them just to see how well it worked.

lol! i noticed loads of ppl complaining about the discomfort they have with these airpods. wonder how they come up with such, ONLY after wearing it for years and not on day 1, may be they get carried away with the brand hype and do not look into the real functionality of these products,. ugh! lets see what apple is coming up with, and see how many reviewers can review the proud without any bias to the product/brand, keeping the functionalities and practicality in view.

I've had the AirPods Pro 2 since launch and just picked up the AirPods Max about 2 weeks ago. I'll only be interested in the AirPods Pro 3 since all my devices have lighting ports and I'm not upgrading from my 14 PM until the 17 series. Apple has been dragging their tail for awhile.

I had AirPod Pros until they got stolen from me in early 2023. Since then, I've been wearing the lower-cost Beats Studio Plus, but I'd really love to get back into some Pros again. I've been holding onto my wallet, but I suspect my grip will loosen if the new update is too good to pass up.

It was expected to be a March event, but instead, we just got products through press releases instead. We got the new MacBook Air and next week we'll get new iPads through a press release too. Just because Apple has imminent announcements doesn't mean more isn't coming later this year too.
